Note: Kaewa has a fixed toilet and therefore IS suitable for freedom camping despite the law change in June 2023 regarding self-containment certification. Please scroll to the top of this page and click the link in the yellow banner to find out more about freedom camping and self-contained vehicles.
Note: Kaewa can be picked up at anytime Friday - Sunday but only at 5pm onwards Monday to Thursdays – a half-day discount would be applied to compensate in this situation. Kaewa has a minimum 4 day hire for most of the year and 7 days during the summer. And, while most of our vans are pet-friendly, Kaewa is for human travellers only!

Conversion Story: I've been working as an engineer on Super Yachts for quite a few years now, travelling internationally to wherever my next job is lined up. It's always been a bit of a dream of mine to build a camper as a bit of a 'Home away from home' for when I'm back in the country. The goal was to bring together quality workmanship and materials to create something with high attention to detail, beautiful aesthetics and all the comforts of a home. Naturally, I wanted to bring the look and feel of a Super Yacht into the interior design. The camper incorporates a minimal and clean modern design with warm wood and bold New Zealand colours. While I am out of the country I would love to share my home on wheels with other adventurers discovering the uniqueness of New Zealand and all it has to offer. - Kenny
