Cruzar

Location: Cruzar lives in Ohoka, north of Christchurch approx. 20km (20 mins drive) from both Christchurch airport and the CBD. If you’re driving your own car, it can be safely parked off-road while you’re away.

In The Cab: 2 seats in cab up front with access to the living space; radio, bluetooth connection or aux cable for the tunes.

Kitchen Area: Lovely timber countertops and generous sink with electric pump tap… and hot water!  Store enough food for a feast in the 65L fridge and for cooking, there’s a built-in 2-burner gas hob. Cruzar also comes with all the essential utensils, pots, pans, knives, crockery and cutlery etc. For safety there’s gas monitor, fire alarm and fire extinguisher.

Dining/Living/Sleeping Area: Cruzar has an internal height of 2.0m – so standing room for virtually everyone! There’s comfy bench seating on each side with a great sized table in between. Together these transform into an almost king-size bed (1.63m wide x 1.97m long) with luxury foam mattress… so a good nights’ sleep is practically guaranteed! Cruzar is insulated with beautiful thick curtains and for ultimate comfort, there are netted windows (and a roof vent) so you can feel the breeze without the bugs! Note: we list bedding and towels as Extras at the booking stage in case guests prefer to bring their own. There is also plenty of storage space over the cab and under the bench seats.

Water Facilities: Like all Quirky Campers in NZ, Cruzar is certified self-contained. There’s a fixed 35 litre fresh water tank with external filler and a similar sized grey water tank (also fixed) with waste attachment and hose to empty waste. The fixed toilet is stored under the bed and can be pulled out for use as needed.

Electrical/Lighting and Audio Equipment: Cruzar has a leisure battery charged via the engine when driving, LED lights, USB sockets for charging devices and a 300W inverter for using small gadgets. He also has a 240v hook-up and campground power cable.

Type of Heating: Insulated but no other heating besides cab heater.

Outside: Cruzar has camping chairs and an outdoor table available as optional extras.
