Cooking's a breeze in any scenario thanks to Roxy's roomy setup. She’s 1.8 meters tall (so no stooping!) and with a spacious fridge, 2-burner hob, and deep sink, you needn't limit your culinary creativity! On sunny days, the drop-down bench lets one person prep outside while another handles the stove - teamwork at its best.
Adaptability is in Roxy's DNA. Her seating area effortlessly transforms into a comfy bed, and the swivel table can pivot or be put aside as you please. Storage galore above the seating and kitchen keeps things neat. As the sun sets, pop your essentials in her cute overhead baskets, pull down the blinds, and drift off to sleep!
But what about power? Don't worry, Roxy's inverter will keep your laptops and gadgets charged up even when you're off-grid!

Note: Roxy has been upgraded with a fixed toilet and therefore IS suitable for freedom camping in line with the law change in June 2023 regarding self-containment certification. Note: Roxy has a minimum 4 day hire for most of the year and 7 days during the summer. And, while most of our vans are pet-friendly, Roxy is for human travellers only! Also the default pick-up and drop-off times are 9am and 5pm respectively but Roxy's owners can only be available to do pick-ups from about 9.30am and drop-offs around 4pm.

About the Campervan
Location: Roxy lives in Ohoka, north of Christchurch approx. 20km (20 mins drive) from both Christchurch airport and the CBD. If you’re driving your own car, it can be safely parked off-road while you’re away.
In The Cab: 2 seats in cab up front with access to the living space; radio, bluetooth connection or aux cable for the tunes.
Kitchen Area: Lovely timber countertops and generous sink with electric pump tap… and hot water! Store enough food for a feast in the 50L fridge and for cooking, there’s a built-in 2-burner gas hob. Roxy also comes with all the essential utensils, pots, pans, knives, crockery and cutlery etc. For safety there’s gas monitor, fire alarm and fire extinguisher.
Dining/Living/Sleeping Area: Roxy has an internal height of 1.8m – so standing room for most! There’s comfy bench seating on each side with a great sized table in between. Together these transform into a generous sized bed (1.6m wide x 1.8m long) with luxury foam mattress… so a good nights’ sleep is practically guaranteed! Roxy is insulated with beautiful thick curtains and for ultimate comfort, there is a roof vent with fan to circulate air! Note: we list bedding and towels as Extras at the booking stage in case guests prefer to bring their own. There is also plenty of storage space over the cab and under the bench seats.
Water Facilities: Like all Quirky Campers in NZ, Roxy is certified self-contained. There’s a fixed 42 litre fresh water tank with external filler and a similar sized grey water tank (also fixed) with waste attachment and hose to empty waste. The fixed toilet is stored under the bed and can be pulled out for use as needed.
Electrical/Lighting and Audio Equipment: Roxy has a leisure battery charged via the engine when driving, LED lights, USB sockets for charging devices and a 500W inverter for using small gadgets. She also has a 240v hook-up and campground power cable.
Type of Heating: Insulated with an 240v electric heater for use when plugged in at a camp site
Outside: Roxy has camping chairs and an outdoor table available as optional extras.
