This is your chance to own an amazing bowtop wagon which you can tow with your car. Known as Towvardos, Twagons or towable bowtops.
These are around £25-30k brand new, so chance to get a real bargain and really turn heads whenever and wherever you stay.
Alternatively, you could park it in your garden for an airbnb, office, or spot to getaway for a few hours or a night.
The heights are approximate in feet to the top of the woodburner chimney is 9.5 ft, to the top of the roof is 7.5 ft. The length is 21 ft including the towbar and chicken coop on the reat, and width is around 6ft.
It is around 1 tonne towing weight, and has been balanced to have a lower nose weight. It is on a single wheel chassis which makes it easier to move around.
There is a locking towbar, and the twagon or towvardo or bowtop is built onto a braked alko trailer chassis to make it easy to tow.
It even has a spare wheel and a heavy duty jockey wheel recently replaced too.
The date of manufacture is approximate as this was purchased by me around 4 years ago, and since then I have lovingly built out the inside which was a complete shell, put on a completely new roof and bows, added plug-in electrics too.
It is in good condition and ready to be loved and become part of someone else’s adventures.
I am willing to negotiate on the offer price.
Please note the mileage and belted seats require an entry and these are not true as there are no belted seats inside, or mileage counter.
Lucky Lady has brought me many happy memories and I really hope that someone else can have delightful and lucky adventures in her themselves.
Lovingly restored and built from the shell I inherited, this bowtop is completely unique as you can see. I crafted flip top seats with storage inside, a new floor with Moroccan style tiles and comfy carpet underfoot. A built in wardrobe with space to hang clothes or fold and place them and some angel wing hooks on the outside for extra garment or towel hanging too. The comfortable dark purple velvet cushions for the seats were hand stitched and can easily be removed too and even have additional rainbow coloured cushions for additional comfort too.
The roof has been completely replaced, it has new wood bows, stunning new cream fabric with traditional patter, a wool layer, and membrane as well as the new tarp which is waterproofed, all put on by a professional bowtop craftsman in Wales. This makes it cool in the Summer and cosy in Winter (I’ve stayed in it in -5 degrees centigrade). She’s also had a fresh coat of paint outside as well as the painted surfaces inside.
There is a cute kitchen, just as quirky as the van, it comes with a small camping gas stove, and even better than that has its own woodburner which beautifully heats the van on a cold night, wood for the fire is supplied too in the nook under the stove. There is also a copper kettle to heat your water on it too. There is a splashback for heat protection from the stove and a bar to hang utensils on too.
Water is supplied through a glass container that can hold several litres and this then drops gently into the copper pan sink fitted into the kitchen cabinet below and the waste water tank is below in the kitchen dresser which can easily be removed for emptying.
There is also a fridge which holds 2-3 bottles of wine in the door and enough space for a weekend’s worth of food too. A microwave can also be brought out to use too. A bottle opener has been fixed on the side of the kitchen too ready for the first bottle of beer on the porch watching the sun go down.
Ample space in the kitchen dresser for other food supplies and you can eat on the fixed table opposite too, either sitting on the bench seat near it, or using the fold out table sitting on the bench seats.
The electrics were professionally installed by a reputable camper van company, and the electrics for the lighting board are Landrover Defender style to look more authentic and in keeping with the overall style.
There are fairy lights (battery operated) for the evenings or if you want a weekend without electric hook-up. These really add to the ambiance of an evening when you are sitting with your mug of cocoa gazing into the flames of the woodburner, or out across the open top of the stable door into your view beyond.
The double bed bunks are awesome and a great way to settle down at the end of the day. There is a comfortable mattress barely used on the top bunk, with deep purple velvet curtains to the rest of the van, and strained glass lighting, and stained glass window behind you as you drift off to sleep. The fairy lights provide ambiance if you want softer lighting of an evening too.
Oh, and the lighting, well there are two gorgeous coach style lamps on the exterior either side of the door, a chandelier main light (plastic for safety), and two stained glass tiffany style side lights at the rear of the bowtop either side of the stained glass window.
Under the main bed is a further bunk (also double) with a futon style mattress to fit with two cubbys for books, or other items and a light switch. There are curtains for this bed too (blue voile) as this area is darker. This suits short adults (to around 5ft 5) or better yet for two children. Under the bed there is ample storage too for other items for camping which goes to the rear of the van. The floor is carpeted under this. So plenty of storage there too. The best bit of all is that the beds remain set-up throughout so time saving on arrival you can simply sink in under the sheets after a busy day.
On the rear of the wagon is another surprise, the chicken/rabbit coop complete with some sawdust too, there is even a little handmade ladder to help put them in at night if you wanted to (or soft toys could go here or comedy value too).
Last but not least, everyone likes their own bathroom, and this wagon has its own little emergency portaloo too carefully stowed until you may need to use it.
This wagon really does have everything you need.
