VW T6 Kombi
Connie is a Highline t6 (2.0 3.2T) who has been simply but beautifully converted – she comes with cruise control, integrated navigation system (sat nav on the screen on the dashboard), and USB & bluetooth connections for phones.
She has a full service history from VW garages and got 4 new tires in this year’s service (late May). She has relatively low mileage and is running brilliantly. Her next MOT isn’t due until Jan 2021. She does a decent MPG – averaging around 40 for our trips so far.
She has a tow bar (great for a bike rack) and the ability to put roof racks on (8 connection points).
She is diesel and is ULEZ compliant (so you can drive through Bristol, Birmingham etc.), and she’s currently taxed as a commercial vehicle – only 240/year this year.
We bought her this year (only the second owners and purchased direct from VW) with a view to slowly convert her using high-end materials and professional companies where applicable. Unfortunately we’ve now been relocated to France and so need to sell her as she’s a right hand drive. We have made the following conversions:
– Lined with Dodo Thermo Pro insulation (warming and cooling)
– Lined with Dodo sound deadening
– Professionally constructed and installed L shaped storage bed (solid birch) measuring 140 x 182 when pulled out (the bed can be removed to be a combi if required)
– Kiravans certified safe driver seat swivel
– Kiravans certified safe double swivel (maintains storage)
– Storage panel on sliding door
– Tailored reversible window panels with reflective material on one side (keeps the cool out in the sun and the heat in during the winter)

Having a t6 has been great for being stealth and for getting under parking height restrictions.

The rear (original seating) bench is available if you want it (we removed it for additional storage space but have kept it wrapped safely).
The bed is a solid birch L shape which pulls out to measure 140x 180.
The bed is designed to fit standard Euro boxes underneath and has either magnets or a latch system on each door to hold in items during transit. It has also been designed so that someone up to 180cm can sit upright on the bed.
