Renault Master Family Campervan

We bought the van as an existing camper van that had been very badly converted, so we ripped it all out, took it back to a panel van and rebuilt it from scratch.

We used dodo dead mat sound deadening on the floor, ceiling and panels. The van is fully insulated using recycled plastic bottle insulation used in the panels and around the windows, and Xtratherm insulation boards on the floor and ceiling and covered with reflectix vapour barrier. It has then been boarded with ply on the floor and walls, and tongue and groove used on the ceiling.

The van has multiple 12v and USB outlets situated by the rear seats, inside the kitchen cupboard (for the fridge and water pump) and by the double bed. There are 4 touch operated LED spotlights in the ceiling which can be controlled independently. The 240v hook up supplies sockets in the boot and in the van living area. The leisure battery is 120AH. The 240v supply is protected by a consumer unit with RCDs. All 12v electrics are fused independently and there is a master cut off switch for all 12v electrics. The battery is 1yr old and in excellent condition. Comes with a 20m hook up reel and also a cable to enable battery charging at home on a normal mains outlet. There is also a 4G hotspot that can work with any network.

The van has a fixed double bed across the back with an IKEA memory foam mattress, and a large garage space underneath accessed from the rear doors. The bench seat can be used as a single bed and also has a large storage space underneath it. The kitchen area has a sink connected to 15l fresh water and 15l grey water containers. The tap has a switched 12v water pump which comes on automatically when the tap is in use. There is also a 12v/240v Alpicool Bluetooth controlled fridge which can be accessed via a slide out shelf mounted in the cupboard.

There are two additional, spacious overhead storage units above the kitchen area and double bed.

The two rear seats are Ford Custom Transit seats, and can be removed and stored in the garage, providing floor space for an additional camping bed if required.

The van has vinyl flooring, rubber matting in the garage and the cab is clean and carpeted. Each side window has a fitted blind, and there are removable window coverings for the back doors, and a curtain across the cab. The rear two side windows have openings in the top, and there’s a vent in the ceiling.

This van has been a labour of love and we have not cut any corners when it comes to safety as we’ve travelled with our two young kids. Everything internally is in excellent and basically new condition, and we will also include a camping gas stove, kettle, plates, cutlery, and Thetford portable toilet (only been used a couple of times for a midnight wee so very clean!) so it’s ready for you to chuck your clothes and bedding into and hit the road!
