True off grid and highly capable camper. Woody has been designed for our proposed trip, encompassing Russia, then Africa via the Med. Serious amounts of solar, battery, insulation, heat and water mean you can really be ‘off grid’ for long lengths of time. No corners cut on sourcing of the best available materials ensure this well built camper will not let you down. Fixed bed, wet room shower and fixed toilet, well designed kitchen, with swivel seats and swivel Lagun table over the bench seat, utilise the available space the best way possible. A large garage means lots of storage, and easy access to all the hab electrics. The wood is Ash, felled and milled by us. Woody really is one of a kind.
INSULATION
Silent coat sound deadening 2mm pads.
Cab doors and voids Knauf drytherm.
50mm Ecotherm under 3/4″ ply on the floor, finished in Altro commercial non slip vinyl.
Ceiling is 25mm/45mm Ecotherm with wool and foam added to all gaps and inside ribs, plywood then Wheat 4 way stretch fabric.
Walls are Knauf Drytherm, between 75 and 100 mm, covered in 9 or 12 mm ply, face with Ash. All insulation finished with double layer thermal insulation aluminium foil membrane as a vapour barrier.
HEATING and COOKING/KITCHEN
Underslung Gasit 25 litre tank, manual turn off. This provides LPG for the single Dometic Smev hob, and external LPG BBQ point.
Heating (blown warm air and water at 10 litres) is provided by Truma Combi D6 (E) diesel furnace, sited under the bench seat and fed from the diesel tank of the van. Warm air outlets; 1 in cab, 2 in hab, 1 in shower, 2 in garage. The shower/wet room has a humidistat Expelair shower extract fan, effectively turning the shower room into a drying room for wet clothes/towels kit etc.
Maxxfan deluxe extract fan (10 speed and remote with thermostat, intake and exhaust) above kitchen.
Stainless steel sink with separate tap for drinking water, stainless steel mixer with extendable head for sink.
Vitrifrigo C60i 2 way compressor fridge freezer.
WET ROOM
Shower with Stainless steel mixer tap. Dometic shower tray, Dometic toilet CTLP 4110 ceramic and full electric.
POWER
4 x 180 W German solar cells 5BB roof mounted on galvanised steel fixed rack. 60 A MPPT controller with remote meter.
2 x 200 Ah Xtreme Deep cycle leisure batteries.
All power cable used inside is Oceanflex multi strand, set in conduit.
Sterling 60A B2B charger, (to charge all batteries from alternator while engine running).
All electrical items are individually cabled and fused. All supply items have circuit breakers. All cabling is Oceanflex multi strand.
WATER
2 x baffled internal 80 litre (160L total) clean CAK water tanks, self balancing. 45 litre underslung grey water tank.
External Whale mixer shower accessed from garage. Cold only shower accessed from side door for sandy feet/muddy dog etc. Mixer with extendable shower head in kitchen.
Shurflo Trail King 7 pump and accumulator.
HAB/INTERNAL
