Vauxhall Midi LWB
This is an unusual 1997 Vauxhall Midi LWB van, with only 78k miles. The van has a 2.4 Diesel Isuzu engine, and is well known for being a little workhorse. The Vauxhall Midi was originally marketed as Bedford Midi van until the Bedford name was discontinued. The Midi is basically a rebranded Isuzu Fargo – there is a lot of info online about both the Isuzu Fargo & Bedford Midi, and a nice community of owners. She has an MOT that expires in March 2023, and is fully taxed until January 2023. She comes with 4 new tyres and a 2 bar roof rack.
The van has a front engine, 5 gears (manual) and a column shift set up. The turbo was removed by the previous owners. The van has 2 belted seats up front and is semi converted in the back (2 berth), with wood panel floors, a fixed bed and L shaped benches – though these can be removed easily. She comes with sony speakers, solar panel and hook up, so you can charge your phones / tablets etc whilst camping. She comes with a double, self inflating mattress and seat cushions and pillows. I had originally planned to change up the conversion to add in more storage however, with a new job I now simply do not have the time to do this and have sadly decided to sell her.
The Vauxhall Midi resembles the older VW T4 in its look, so ideal for those who love a 90’s style camper. She does have the usual signs of wear and tear for a 1997, well loved van. Please do not expect a pristine camper if you come to view. There is some rust on the nearside step, which is noticeable when you open the sliding door – on the MOT history. However, upon inspection, we can’t see that the rust has spread further than this and isn’t structural. The van is a little rugged, but we feel like it adds to her charm.
I’m gutted to put her up for sale, but have decided that it is best to sell her to someone with more time and resources to put into her. This could be a brilliant little project for the right person!

The back contains a double fixed bed, L shaped seating and shelf next to the bed. There is storage space under the bed. This current set up is ideal for short beach trips, though there is a lot of room in the van and I had planned to refit some extra storage and utilise the space some more.
The floors are wood paneling and the interior walls are lined with carpet.
I have listed the conversion as ‘Used – Good’, as she is ready to use. Though there is much potential to change up the conversion to utilise the space for kitchen set ups, additional storage space etc for longer trips – or whatever suits your needs.
