Fantastically Converted Ambulance Camper - Fully Off-Grid Set-up - DEPOSIT TAKEN

Rare opportunity to own this fantastic van. I’ve had this for just over a year and loved every minute of it with some great trips up to Tiree for surfing, and down south for climbing. I’m not using it enough to justify keeping it so this is a very reluctant sale. I’ll get it serviced and MOT’d before selling.

All details of equipment below.

All original ambulance equipment has been removed and the vehicle is now matt grey all over.

Inside there is a seating area and a removable table. The seating area converts into a very comfy king sized bed. Storage lockers are located below the seating.

The double back doors open fully out to give a phenomenal view of your beach / hill side!

There are 4 original tinted windows with built in venetian blinds. A curtain rail and curtains have been installed to the rear of the van.

There are 4 overhead lockers for storage of personal items.

Walls and ceiling have been upholstered and there is carpet tiling on the floor. Walls are double skinned and foam cell insulated.

The roof has two skylights installed which can open and have black out blinds and fly screens. There is a Unistrut fixing system installed on the roof as well.

There is a DAB antenna and a 4G antenna installed on the roof along with a 310 Watt solar panel. This is fantastic and easily powers our laptops, music, etc with excess to spare to charge up the battery bank!

A wood burning stove is located close to the door and heating is also supplied from an “Eberspacher D4 plus” diesel heater – so you’ll never be short of heat. I’ve spent winter nights in this with it well below zero outside, and it is so toasty and warm inside. There is a special storage area near the stove to house wine / beer / whisky!

The kitchen area has solid wood worktops with a Dometic CRX50 Fridge Freezer, a Thetford Triplex 700 series 3 burner hob and oven, a Propex Malaga 5E Storage Water Heater and there is also a sink with hot and cold water powered by a pump with accumulator. There is counter top lighting below the overhead lockers.

Water is supplied through a water pump and accumulator vessel from a 90 litre underslung water tank so you are sorted for days and days of water!

Across from the kitchen there is a hot shower and toilet. The toilet is a Thetford C220 Series Cassette Toilet. Access to the cassette is from outside. The outside door also provides access to an external hose for cleaning / showering outside.

Propane gas is supplied from an 11kg refillable LPG tank located in the gas locker. A fill point is located on the vehicle so that it can be refilled at Autogas stations. The gas powers the water heater and cooking and lasts a very long time.

There is a CO alarm and a fire extinguisher.

Access to the cab is through a door in the bulkhead.

All grey water can drain to the ground or into self contained grey water storage tanks.

Outside the toilet cassette can be removed and there is also a hose to shower outside / wash your dog if you have one (I don’t).

There are lockers on both sides of the van which store the slide out 3 battery bank, one houses the disesel heater and one just has storage space (I keep logs there for the burner).

The cabin has a new bluetooth stereo installed – with hands free.
The living area has a separate bluetooth stereo installed with two speakers.
There is an external connection point for 240v electrical hook up.
2 240v sockets are inside the living area and can be powered by mains hook up or the inverter.
There are several USB sockets located around the van.
LED spotlights throughout, with a control panel above the exit door (turns off all non essentials – essentials can be isolated separately if required)

This was an ambulance and so wanted for nothing – with the engine serviced every 6 weeks and rebuilt every 100,000 miles.

It really is fantastic bit of kit which has been ingeniously converted.
