Dora the Doblo Microcamper

Dora the Doblo is a microcamper converted from a wheelchair accessible Fiat Doblo. The wheelchair ramp was removed and the lower floor maximises head height in the camper. We have installed a leisure battery powered by voltage sensing relay from the car battery. 12v electric provides power for 2 USB charging points, touch sensitive ceiling lights and the tap/water pump. Dora comes with multiple storage compartments, including housing for a portable toilet. The back has seating for 2 or 3 adults and a simple sliding mechanism allows for conversion of seating to a bed, which has slept two adults comfortably for many nights away! The rear has a pull out kitchen, with solid wood table top, crockery and cutlery drawer, dual burner stove and space for a kettle and mugs. The pull out drawer locks in place. Storage space underneath the bench can accommodate folding tables and chairs. Other features: wooden cladding on the ceiling and doors, a bespoke kitchen unit housing clean and grey water containers (12 litres each), dark tinted rear windows, thermal blinds, fully sound deadened and insulated. Dora may be small but the amount of storage has to be seen to be believed, especially with the large roof box. We have put a lot of love into this conversion and enjoyed our trips away this season. We hope to find Dora a good owner who has a passion for the great outdoors!
