The base van is a white 2014 plate Renault Trafic SL27 DCI, 2.0 diesel engine, and tax class as a lights good vehicle. 6 gears and drives comfortably at speeds of 70mph (68 limit sticker on rear of van from previous life , however no limited fitted). Extremely low mileage at under 30,000 miles!
Bought from a garage in July 2020 with one previous owner, window electrics were redone and new seats were installed in the cab with full service and MOT done by garage prior to purchase. Structually it is in great condition – had the B-post replaced in October 2022 after a small van vs bollard, and had new van battery in January 2021. Last MOT in October 2022 – passed with one advisory which is a hole in one of the back right rear light covers, which doesn’t impact the light’s function (paperwork to support all of this).
It’s got all the mod cons – electric windows and mirrors, remote central locking, air conditioning, CD player with Bluetooth and USB connection so does hands-free. Rhino roof rack fitted on top, handy for attaching a box or securing skis/kayaks etc.
It was converted after I bought the van by a professional joiner who has also been buying, converting and selling campervans for 10 years. He did a wonderful job and I have had no issues whatsoever with any of the conversion, which is in great condition.
– Interior walls are carpet -lined plyboard, double-insulated with foam panels and loose insulation material. The floor is wooden laminate.
– Double front passenger seat mounted on a Kiravan swivel base so rotates to face the rear, with a floor-mounted table to allow for dining (and game playing).
– Custom made bed unit – sofa with underbed storage that slides into a 6x4ft double bed with memory foam mattress and detachable cover (having the front seats swivels with the bed out allows someone taller than 6ft to lie out comfortably). Two latched hatches allow access to large underbed storage.
– L shaped custom kitchen with 2 spacious cupboards, 3 shelves in each, with soft-close doors. Includes a 2 ring gas hob, stainless steel sink with electric running cold water tap supplied from 13L water tank in rear. 10L minifridge runs from a 12V plug inside the cupboard beneath the sink.
– High level wooden shelf for smaller items such as cups and storage pots, with hanging rail underneath for utensils.
– Built-in sliding blackout curtains on all 3 windows (1 in each back door and 1 in sliding side door), as well as stick-on insulating privacy curtains for windscreen and driver and passenger windows
– 240v main double socket in the wall with two USB outlets supplied from leisure battery in the back with a mains hookup socket for use in campsites and a 240v plug socket that runs from this.
– There are 6 LED flush fitting ceiling lights with two switches to allow for zone lighting
Happy to sell good-to-go with contents including an assortment of utensils, cutlery, a set of melamine dinner and side plates with cereal bowls and matching cups, mini grater, mini measuring jug, a saucepan and frying pan and some plastic baskets I use as drawers in the cupboards. There are some tupperware storage containers that fit in the shelf on the side wall and far too many fake plants as well! There is a rechargeable electric pump shower head that can be used from the water container in the back of the van and a separate single gas ring that can be used to cook outside. Selling due to moving abroad and will be very sorry to part with Remy – I have absolutely loved having him as a camper! Warm, comfortable and reliable for many adventures.
