Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

converted camper with double bed, wood burner, fridge, gas hob, sink with water pump, surround sound & lots of storage.
Has a solar panel fitted but it is BROKEN. (broke after UK heat waves last summer),leisure batteries and solar panel will need replacing however the wiring I think is probably ok & there’s a very neat switchboard which will hopefully make it an easier job.
very beautifully converted by previous owner, recycled wood used, lots of storage as previously mentioned.
There are big stratches/dents either side of the body. The back doors are faulty and do not open easily at all, will need fixing.
glow plugs can take a while to warm up but engine runs completely fine once running. (this apparently is common for diesel vans) the warning light also comes on more in cold weather. glow plugs were replaced in may 2022.
Last MOT passed with no advisories! new MOT due may 2022. Some warning lights flash on & off when the engine is turned on, I’ve been told by a mechanic it’s likely a faulty earth wire which might cost around £250 to investigate and fix.
Had a new clutch installed in June 2022 following an unfortunate incident (long story short I burnt the clutch out) – but now the clutch it’s shiny and new !
There is moisture around the power steering box but it has been checked with a mechanic and the power steering fluid levels are fine and there have been no problems with the power steering at all.
There is a leak coming from the ceiling fan. It has been resealed but it still leaks, I believe there may be a crack in the plastic from where it may have been hit by a tree but I haven’t discovered the source of the leak yet. there is also a leak coming from the top of the wood burner, I think because the chimney was hit by a low hanging branch and misshapen, so it may simply just need hammering back into shape. There is also moisture coming in from the foot well, the floor is always quite wet. I have no idea where the water is coming from.
The left hand wing mirror is smashed and being the mirror is being held on with gaffa tape. But I do have a replacement mirror that I just haven’t fitted yet !!
The indicator on the left has also had its covering smashed after someone reversed and hit their wing mirror on it.
It sounds like a lot but it’s just little things which have added up over time and there is nothing seriously wrong with this van at all!
This will obviously be a project for someone who is willing to be putting in some effort fixing it up. But this is a beautiful van and it deserves some love & attention & i know it will be a loyal friend on adventures.
It would also be a super cosy home if there was somewhere to park it, I lived in this van for a year and it was amazing.
