4X4 VW T5 OFF GRID CUSTOM BUILT CAMPER VAN

For sale is our 4×4 VW Transporter T5 campervan. Lovingly handmade and designed for off-grid get-aways. So if you want to go off grid, whether it be a festival field, an out of the way beach on the NC500 or a remote wild swim in the south of France, this van will get you there, let you stay in comfort and get you back out.

The Van

2010 VW T5.1 T30 kombi 4motion SWB facelift model 1968cc 140BHP Diesel. 94,000 Miles. Full service history (mostly VW). Cambelt changed at 75,900 miles, water pump at 82,592. Manual 6 speed. Factory original VW pure grey colour. Factory fitted windows all around, 2 of them opening. Tailgate rear door.
Cruise control, air-conditioning, electric windows, ABS, new Bosch heavy duty battery, 2 USB charging ports, SONY XAV-AX1005DB digital radio with touch screen, ApplePlay, USB and Bluetooth connectivity.
Up-graded speakers all around the cab including tweeters.
Original vinyl seats, 3 belted seats, Rusty Lees (officially crash test certified) twin swivel seat. Working cup holders!

The suspension set up was upgraded in 2023 to Koni Active suspension with T32 springs elevating the van slightly for off road clearance. Completed with 4x Tuff Torque modular steel wheels and Davanti all terrain tyres this gives a superb, comfortable ride and amazing off-road capability to get you far off the beaten track.

We have added fog lights and additional LED spotlights (on a separate switch in the cab). There are black side bars and bull bars fitted as well as Thule edge roof bars and a half width roof box for extra storage.

To extend the living space outside there is a 2.6 metre Fiamma F45 wind out awning in black with grey fabric and included is a Fiamma add-on rafter for extra stability in windy or rainy conditions.

The Camper

Converted in 2022 by us, fully handbuilt.

We used Dodo Mat sound deadening to all panels followed up with Dodo Thermo Fleece and Dodo Thermo Liner throughout (including the cab).

There is a board lining colour matched to VW Pure Grey and a pine tongue and groove ceiling, colour matched to the cab interior pale grey, the living space is finished with an oak effect laminate flooring. The rear windows are all tinted and there are custom made thermal blinds to fit each window in the same fabric as the upholstery. Additionally there are muslin curtains in a pale grey for privacy and bug screening as well as a full magnetic bug screen for the sliding door with a zip opening.
A black Comfortz Leisure, thermal, blackout, external wrap around blind for cab is included.

Power is provided by the Photonic Universe 100AH deep discharge gel battery charged by both a Renogy split charger and a Renogy suitcase solar system with built in MPPT and an easy connection point integrated under the bonnet.

There are 6x black rimmed, LED ceiling spotlights individually touch controlled and dimmable allowing you to customise the lighting for zones or mood.

A Waeco CRX50 compression fridge provides ample room for chilled food and drinks as well as a freezer compartment.

The electric control panel displays leisure battery voltage and has 2 USB points and a 12v plug, there are easily accessible in-line fuses behind this.

A twin swivel seat and fold out dining table made from solid oak to match the kitchen worktop allow for a comfortable dining space and below there is a cork lined and enclosed wine rack (essential!)

The kitchen area has 2 push release drawers (one with dual layers, a cutlery tray and open space) and 2 pull drawers providing storage space. A solid oak worktop, black ceramic countertop basin with a black push release plug and a matt black mono tap with running cold water, the waste running to outside. A lift up worktop conceals the fully removable CADAC 2 cook 2 pro cooking unit used with simple screw on gas canisters (designed to easily be removed to cook outside). The cooker space is lined with black anodised aluminium for heat shielding and easy cleaning. There is an additional lift up worktop for extra counter space in the van.

The L-shaped seating area has 3 deep, push release drawers for storage as well as 1 lift up storage space under the seats. It’s topped with specially cut, 3inch high density foam seat pad with removable upholstered covers designed to perfectly make the mattress, as well as matching loose cushions for extra comfort. The seats have an easy pull out to make a very comfortable 4foot x 6foot bed.

The rear storage area has fixing points for the awning wind out arm and rafter, the solar panel system and a step for reaching the roof rack/ box. There is a cupboard housing the Shurflo Trail King 7 water pump and filter as well as the 25l fresh water carrier.

Included in the sale are a pair of levellers. A portable toilet and tent can easily fit in the roof box but is not included.
