Nissan Interstar Campervan

This campervan is built from a brand new Nissan Interstar H2L3 High spec Tekna has a 2.3 bi turbo diesel engine coupled to a 6 speed gear box which provides exceptional fuel economy and lots of low down torque. 

This van does not struggle on any hills and pulls with ease.

It’s the latest euro 6 compliant engine and has an adblue tank.

The van is high spec with sat nav, abs 2 reversing cameras and reversing sensors. The cab has separate air conditioning to the rear. The van has also been upgraded to 17″ alloy wheels with quality van tyres.The power steering is nice and light but heavies up at speed. It’s a very maneuverable van and has disc brake all round. 

Fitted to the exterior is a large 400w solar panel, 2 solar extractors, one being more powerful for the shower room. Also at the rear of the van is Titan roof bars and a large Thule rear opening roof box.

To the rear doors are Rhino steps for access to the roof

Privacy glass all round and at 6ft 2 I can stand totally upright in the van 

Internally, all areas inside the van have been fully insulated and vapour barriers in place to a very high spec. There are 4 layers of natural wool insulation so therefore this van has a very high co efficiency rating, not only to keep it warm in winter but to keep the heat out in summer. 

There is a bench seat which folds out to make a bed which can carry 4 passengers in safety with innersia seat belts there for this van can carry 7 people in total, safely. 

There is a very cleverly designed walk in shower unit which can also be used as a bath with a tambour door. 

The van benefits from fully pumped hot and cold water system and you can also permanently connect the van whilst on a site as the main tank has an auto fill device fitted. All systems on the van operate on electricity which can be accessed from the large batteries and inverter and the engine if necessary, which operates as a powerful generator when needed. Just to note the engines on these vans are very quiet when running. 

This van was designed to be just as happy on grid as off grid. You can comfortably use it, with all its features without ever hooking up to mains power and water. 

The whole van when driving long distances is a tranquil place to be. 

The van has a full size kitchen sink, 3 metres of work bench, there’s also a 32 inch flat screen LED TV which operates on a 12 and 240v system. With a separate sound bar. Opposite the TV is a faux leather couch which when not in use, folds completely flat to make the second bed. 

There are a number of different cupboards and accessories which are too numerous to mention but all viewings are highly recommended as the use of space and innovative design will amaze. 

The van is also fitted with a compressor fridge with a double glazed glass door and is an N rated commercial unit. It has a very low power consumption but very high chilling capacity. 

The rear of the van also benefits from a refrigerated Air conditioning unit that operates completely separately from the air conditioning system in the cab. This unit can be run continuously when connected to site mains or from the vans batteries for a shorter time, or again if you start the vans engine it can run continuously. The electrical system in this van is very versatile and runs very efficiently, it is wired to be as autonomous as possible. 

The large solar panel splits through 2 charge controllers, one automatically charges 2×200 amps of lithium iron which is solely used for the 240v system, the second charges 2×100 amps of lithium iron which is solely used for the 12v system however both systems can charge each others batteries while connected to a site or while the engine is running. 

As mentioned, you don’t have to give the electrical systems much thought as it’s all autonomous.

As the van has no gas, we use a large electric frying pan to cook meals which is included along with a savoury pancake maker and a large capacity kettle, also a 2 slice toaster. 

There are many accessories that come with this van and they need to be viewed to appreciate it fully.

Hosepipe and electrical hook up wire is included. There is also a waste water tank which can be drained via a tube or switched off to drain when appropriate. 

The van also benefits from a 5 year manufacturers warranty with approximately 4 years remaining. 

These bi turbo engines are also fantastic as the manufacturers recommended servicing is every 24,000 miles or every 2 years, whichever comes first.

We have road tested and used this build to iron out any problems and we have used it for 4,000 miles. 

It’s ready to make somebody very happy. Where ever it goes it turns heads. 

The only reason for sale is because we have another van which we have converted almost identically. 

Although the van is probably worth more than I am asking, I would be happy with £40,500 and I believe this is a bargain. That is around the list price for the bare vehicle. 

Just to note this van costs me about £350 a year to insure with just campers and this includes 6 month european travel.
