Ford Transit Jumbo – 2.4 TDCi 460 Duratorq L4 H3 3dr (DRW)
Brilliant van, excellent hassle-free motoring. Campervan conversion project which is partially completed, looking for someone to complete the job, but is usable for trips in its current state of conversion We have spent up to 10 days at a time in it for vacations. Also ideal for day tripping, or future off-grid van life. In previous life it was a Scottish Water mess-van, so we are the second owners. We have really enjoyed the conversion project and are reluctant sellers due to a change in job situation.
Fully insulated vapour barrier, sound deadening Dodomat and 6-speed gear box make for a very pleasant and comfortable drive. Externally the van has been fitted with a tinted side window, 2x 175w solar panels, electric Maxx fan, skylight and 6 new Continental VanContact tyres plus spare under the van. The cab has been recarpeted overhead giving the space a fresh, clean feel. Swivel seats to both passenger and driver seats create a cosy lounge space (Autotrader describes this as a 3 seater van, but it is 2 seater). A large storage cabinet has been installed above the cab. The interior is fitted with touch spotlights, fitted cabinets and overhead lockers, a drawer for a Porta Potti (Portapotti included) and space for a Dometic fridge freezer (included in sale – but yet to be installed). There is a 5ft wide bed with 5-inch combination of foam and memory foam mattress which is very comfortable to sleep on. Very spacious garage under the bed, but the bed can be easily removed to create a large space for transporting stuff if required. Included in the sale is a sliding bike drawer with two Saris fork mounts. Insulated silver window covers for all windows are included. Electrics are part-installed and need finishing off, there are some rust spots which have been partly treated, but again this needs completing. This is a great project for someone – with much of the hard work already done, but still plenty of scope to finish it to personal taste/requirements.
Also included but not fitted: 2 x 100Ah Lithium leisure batteries, Victron 100/20 smart solar charge controller, 3000w Novopal invertor, blade fuse box, diesel heater, Dometic CRX80 fridge/freezer, Thetford Triplex cooker plus a range of assorted bits and pieces we have collected during the project.

Fixed double bed with underneath garage, but easy to remove to create spacious storage in the back of the van. Bed dimensions length 5’8″ x 5’0 wide. Mattress is approx 5″ combination of foam plus memory foam mattress topper. Very comfortable. Space could be modified somewhat to create a larger bed if required.
