Vehicle Description

Here for sale is my beloved Fiat Ducato camper conversion, or Ducky. Due to a change of circumstances, I have had to make the difficult decision to sell. Ducky has been in build for the last few years, and although she is ready to use, there are a few things that will need doing before she is the finished article, these will be covered in the description below. No corners were cut in this build, which you can see from the decisions made regarding fridge, boiler etc, and the fittings have been carried out by a professional.

What has been done:

– Fully insulated using 50mm Recticel GP GA4050 insulation boards, insulating foam to plug the gaps, and covered with aluminium tape for moisture protection + premium gold underfloor insulation from Harrison Trim Supplies
– Hand crafted kitchen with Thetford topline series 111 unit with 2 gas rings and a sink
– Dometic CoolMatic CRE 50 compressor fridge / freezer – 45L
– Side windows (cannot find details of who I purchased these from, happy to dig around if this is important)
– Welded cupboards and double bed
– Fiamma Vent 40 Rooflight
– Maxxair Maxxfan Roof Vent
– Hand made blackout curtains behind the cab, and behind the bed
– Blackout blinds behind the bed and in the sliding door window
– C.A.K. Tanks fresh (CAK-223FW), and waste (CAK-224W), water tanks installed under the van
– Fiamma water expansion tank acumalator A20 installed under the hob
– Fiamma water pump installed under the nearside rear seat
– Truma Combi 4E gas & electric air & water heater included but not yet installed (more on this below)
– LG 4k TV included in the bedroom area
– 3 x 160w monocrystalline solar panels from Eco-Worthy
– CTEK D250SE 20A battery charger
– 2 x 12V 220ah Xplorer leisure batteries
– G3500 3.5a NOCO smart charger
– EPEVER MPPT solar charge controller
– Split charge replay system from Wired Campers
– Giandel power inverter 1000w
– Canm8 cruise control installed to make those longer drives more bearable
– Alpine iLX-F903D Halo9 head unit installed, complete with CarPlay & Android Auto. This has been paired with the following:
– JBL 12″ 1100w Subwoofer GT5-12 SPL (installed above the cab)
– 2 x Alpine SPG-17C2 speakers (installed in the cupboards within the living area)
– 2 x Alpine SPG-69C3 speakers (installed in the top of the rear doors)
– Alpine BBX-F1200 4 channel amp (installed in the garage)
– Alpine BBX-T600 2 channel amp (installed in the garage)

Things that will need doing for the van to be fully finished – these were next on the list but I never got the time to get them booked in:

– A gas bottle will need to be installed
– The boiler needs to be installed under the nearside rear seat unit
– The water pipes need to be laid between the tanks, pump, boiler and sink
– Tap and sink bowl to be purchased and installed

Things that I would change over time if I were keeping Ducky:

– There is a hole in the foam where the drivers feet go. This is a common problem with these vans. A lot of them seem to fit a metal plate here
– The roller cupboard doors are functional, and I think they fit the style of the van, but they don’t slide particularly well and are a little short. I would contemplate replacing them
– The table in the living area is a little wobbly, an easy fix but something to consider
– Only 1 of the outside lights work
– The reverse camera isn’t working, it was a cheap one off eBay, so I would probably look to replace that
– Reflector on the nearside wingmirror was smashed, a spare is in the van, I just haven’t got round to fitting it yet
– I would contemplate changing the TV as it is a 240v

All in all, not much left to get Ducky to her full glory.

Please reach out if you have any queries.

Thanks,

Tom.
