In terms of bodywork, Carmen is a good-looking van with campervan decals, opening tinted windows on the sides and fixed tinted windows on the back. She does have a couple of dents and scrapes on the bodywork consistent with a vehicle of her age, these consist of a roughly 40cm long dent over the drivers side rear wheel arch, a roughly 30cm scratch on the passenger-side front wheel arch and a small round dent on the bonnet.
Carmen is a very comfortable and reliable conversion that’s ready to go. She comes with everything you need to start renting or travelling straight away, even the cutlery. Having been listed on Quirky Campers for rent at the end of July 2023, she was snapped up quickly and spend most of August and September out on rentals, just look at our most recent reviews to get an idea of what she offers. She is perfect for a couple or young family and her “Quirky Approved” status means she can continue her life as a profitable rental straight away.

Description
Description of Seating: Three belted seats in the front (including driver) with headrests. The centre seat has an isofix attachment for a baby or child seat. In the rear there’s space for four adults to sit and socialise comfortably while the van is stationary.
Description of Electrical Setup: Carmen has a 105Ah battery that efficiently powers a range of amenities including the fridge, lighting, kitchen extractor, and USB charging stations. In addition, she features two 240v sockets, which through an inverter, provide ample power for charging devices.
Carmen harnesses the sun’s power with 2 x 100W solar panels and utilises a DC-DC charging system from the engine, which can provide an abundant power supply during summer months. At a campsite with electrical hook up, Carmen can draw power from the mains, with an automated charger to keep the batteries topped up.
During periods of limited sun exposure or less frequent travel, Carmen may require a supplemental charge every two to three days. This ensures that her electrical system continues to power your adventures without any interruption. There is space in her electrical cupboard to add additional battery power if required (up to 4 Fogstar Drift batteries can be connected together).
Cooking Equipment: Carmen has two gas hobs inside. Carmen also has plenty of cooking equipment so you can cook up a feast, including; cutlery, mugs, tumblers, dining plates, pasta bowls and cereal bowls for four, two wine glasses, a cafetiere, a large salad bowl with serving utensils and chopping board, 2 saucepans, a frying pan, kettle, spatula, serving spoon, ladle, chopping knife, corkscrew, can opener and colander. All included.
Water and Sanitation: There is a 50 litre built-in water tank that supplies cold water to the sink via a pump.
Audio Equipment: Carmen has a bluetooth-enabled stereo, with aux in and USB sockets for playing music while driving, as well as built-in bluetooth speakers in the rear.
Type of Heating: Carmen is fitted with a 5kw Diesel Heater, which keeps the living area cosy even on the coldest of nights.
Extra Information: Carmen lived her previous life as a pet shop supply van so it’s only right that she’s fitted with a cosy reading ledge which doubles as the perfect spot for a dog to lounge and see what’s going on outside.
