Vehicle Description

We have owned Ziggy since 2018 and he was a daily driver until May this year. So has been cared for. Just not getting to use him enough now and life has changed. So sadly saying goodbye. We had some great times going to festivals and off grid for weekends away. spent a lot of time on renovations and set up inside.
Mercedes ‘Million mile’ engine just runs and runs – not quickly, but always gets you there. These vans are getting rare and expensive, they are the best small camper around!
can be driven on a std UK licence but still really roomy.

Van has lived most of his life in Germany, lots of paperwork in German- was built as a camper, then part stripped back by prev owner and has been partly refitted by us.

Hand painted purple by last owner who took him all around Europe.
If you would like a nicer finish I have two big tins of Army Green paint, thinners etc and that will come with the van
Part fitted out so you have a bed platform seating area, loo, hob, sink, electric cool box, leisure battery with charger connected to main battery and 12 volt set up. Lights, 12v sockets and USB chargers.

Super cosy and comfy to camp in. We used it loads but never made it ‘pretty’ – potential to add value!

Good bits

3 different mechanics have commented on how solid the underneath of the van is.
We spent loads on kit and fittings walls are insulated and clad – ceiling needs finishing, stays nice and cool in Summer and not cold in Autumn
High Top with a fan and extractor (needs wiring in to 12 volt fuse box, but does work)
MOT until 28th Sept 2024
Registered with DVLA as a camper
Leisure battery with relay charger – dead easy to use
12v set up – lights, USB chargers etc with isolator switch from main cab.
Kitchen area – Hob and sink with cupboard ( inc gas drop vents)
Electric ‘whale’ waterpump if you want to add ‘running water’
Bed platform with dog space underneath and / or lots of garage room – could be lowered if you don’t need dog space
Buddy seat with toilet
Roll out Fiamma awning and side panels – nice for sitting outside
Large Electric Cool box
Solar panel set up. not fitted, still in the box to go with the van, afternoon job to add to the 12v set up.
3.5t so can be driven on a regular licence.
Lots of work done on body work include arch welding and general tidying

Odd bits

There is a ceiling fan and extractor. They are not wired into the 12v set up at the moment but do work – just need adding to the fuse box
There is an inverter and a 240v set up plus hook- up point in the van. We have never used it as was disconnected. It will need reinstalling I think. German instructions and not tested by us. Needs someone to follow the wires and figure it out.
Insulation needs completing in roof.
Bodywork is tatty and purple. I have some Army Green paint, filler etc I will throw in
Inside is basic and needs some creativity and design. Cosmetics a bit basic.
Left Hand Drive – so ready all to go to outside the UK.
This van is ready to camp or travel in as is. But a bit of creativity and TLC would make it a stunner but you could be on the road next week in comfort too.

These vans are getting rare and pricy now. If you love them you’ll know why. Lovely characterful way to travel
