Reason For Selling:
Truth is, we’re just not cool enough anymore!
It’s in full working order and (almost) a shame to let it go… but it’s no longer getting the love it deserves. Hopefully others can have as much fun as we did.
Usage & Previous Ownership:
– Multiple trips to Europe. Switzerland and Italy (for the pasta and cheese)… driving through boarders and alpine passes without issue.
– Multiple long weekends to coastal towns.
– There are no windows in the back so easy to ‘stealth camp’.
Vehicle Details:
The van drives extremely well… “like a car”… and is easy to manoeuvre around cities or tight country roads. It’s brought us loads of great memories and rarely let us down. Some facts below:
– 1.6L Diesel Engine (5 gears)

– Replaced 3 x Fuel Injectors
– 2 Keys / Central Locking
– No cruise control
– 55MPG (With sensible driving)
– Bodywork:
– 1 x minor dent (side door)
– 1 x medium dent (rear corner)
– 1 x small crack in plastic front bumper
– No electrical hook up
Being honest, it’s rusticity converted by myself and my girlfriend (now wife) – two non-experts with a limited budget at the time.
Whilst we followed simple YouTube, I’ll give us some credit and say that it is ‘SOLID’ and hasn’t needed alteration since – even pleasing the ‘non-camper’ in our relationship.
One thing we ensured to get right was the insulation… done using 2.5cm celetex bored on the floor and sealing, and soft/eco wool everywhere else, all fully sealed with a proper vapour barrier to prevent mould. We’ve slept in -5 and +25 without much bother. It’s not a typical wrap job with shiny foil that you sometimes see.
The conversion was originally designed to fit the width of my mountain bike cranks between a comfortable bed and plentiful storage… I had big dreams of gliding down alpine trails.
When my girlfriend invited herself on the trip, I thought on my feet and designed a single bed that pulls out into a comfortable double and folds up to access storage.
Single bed that pulls out into a small double, enough room for 2 adults.
Can be lifted for additional under bed storage. (See pictures)
