This is Saoirse. Our 2.4l MK7 LWB RWD campervan.
She is a reluctant sale as having a young child means we don’t get as much use from her these days as she deserves.
She’s carried us on many adventures, including over to Barra, up to Shetland, and around the NC500, but it’s time for her to have more adventures with a new family.
She’s super for short trips away and for longer adventures with heavier gear (roof rack for all your kit).
As you can see from the photos she has covered 130k miles, has a rock n’roll bed, cupboards, a built in gas stove, fridge & freezer.
She also has a diesel heater but we’ve never really used it in 12 months as she’s cosy enough.
She’s mostly never missed a beat, & these MK7s are known for being practically bulletproof.
-We fit a new starter in the summer and have had her under sealed to protect from rust.
She has a few minor quirks as you’d expect with a van of this age, these are easy fixes and reflected in the price.
– rear sliding door has to be opened from the inside (I’m sure this is an easy fix but we’ve liked the added feeling of security to be honest).
-the wipers work but only at full speed. We’ve fitted a new wiper motor but it didn’t make a difference so the garage recommended a new stork, but have never had it back in since in then (but again a cheap fix & it’s not really much hassle anyway).
The van is an ex minibus & was restricted to 62mph but we’ve had it derestricted & it’ comfortably handles motorway speeds now.
She has an MOT until July 24.

One single fold out z-bed (really hand for an extra adult, child, or even the dog!)
