Fiat Ducato MWB L2H2
The van works and drives well but eventually requires a new engine due to the core plug being cracked which causes a bit of a coolant leak. For now you can just top up the coolant and keep driving it but the core plugs cannot be replaced because the engine block is too brittle around the plug – it would just crumble if a new one was put in. My mechanic told me that suitable engines can be found for around Β£1000 to Β£2000 from reputable sellers/shops, and he would do the work to replace it for around Β£1000 (so im suspecting others of similar price can be found).
The registration is YR12WYP if you want to look at the specs for the engine.
The price is low due to this issue and a bit of a rust problem under the sills, which I was quoted Β£500 to repair and paint. There’s just no point in me getting this repaired when I can’t afford to replace the engine myself.
There is also two smaller issues in one of the windscreen wipers not working, likely due to a loose nut as it got looser over time before it gave up. The deisel heater also doesn’t work but these can be purchased for Β£100 and won’t even be an issue unless you are going away in winter.
The price is Β£3500 and that’s none negotiable. It’s really low and I’m making zero profit. We did the van up to a high spec with good quality materials and followed the build process step by step, we didn’t skimp on anything, and we didn’t even get to use it as a camper because of the engine, so I won’t be taking offers as it’s already hard to let it go at this price. I’m doing my best not to do anyone over, so I won’t take offers, sorry.
If you want it driven to you, we could possibly do that but you’d be paying extra for fuel and our time.
P.s, I’ve had so many people contact me to say they are very interested, and then never respond to my reply. Do not contact me unless you are serious about getting more info to buy this van. It’s exhausting.
Happy to send extra photos, videos or take a visit from anyone who is serious about possibly wanting it though.
