MOT til May 2025. We took a lot of care choosing the panel van to base the conversion on in 2019, with low mileage and speed limited so that the engine was healthy, and we immediately protected the chassis with a full WaxOyl treatment to ensure a long life (as we had to scrap our previous van due to rust). She is a pleasure to drive with 100,000s of miles yet to be driven.
It’s a medium wheel base high top, meaning you can easily stand up in the van and walk around, and it is just slighly longer than a regular car parking space, which makes it easy to use in town and on tracks. We’ve installed reversing cameras to help with manouvreing a larger vehicle.
We’ve also installed an android auto/apple car stereo system to enjoy on those long journeys.

Some cosmetic damage to side door, but otherwise this van has been has been very well taken care of in order to last for many more years.
The conversion and installation of gas, water, electrics and insulations were done by professionals, we built the furniture ourselves to add character over the standard coach-built style. We prioritised a comfortable lounge, sleeping and cooking area over an internal shower room (with a discreet pull-out Porta-Portii), designing an open layout with perm nearly king-sized traverse bed and an L-shaped butcher block countertop, large sink and 4-ring gas stove/grill to provide ample space for cooking, prep and washing up. We think the standard 2-ring stove and sink is impractical for serious cooking – you can cook absolutely anything here. Lots of storage in large drawers for clothes, food and cooking equipment. Includes our excellent Dometic CFX35 32l compressor fridge and 12v TV which run efficiently from the solar powered leisure batteries.
The walls, doors and ceiling are well-insulated throughout, with powerful diesel heater for cold winter nights. For hot days/nights, 2x skylights w/bi-directional fans create a cooling draft. We valued access between the front cab and living area so a section of countertop can be removed and stored behind drivers seat.
Fiamma awning. Rear garage houses a combi-boiler, 70l water tank, LPG locker and spare bottle, delivering high pressure hot and cold water on demand to kitchen sink and shower attachment at rear, which extends to an external popup shower tent.
Been great for festivals, camping and tours. LED lights and USB ports throughout. 2 x large leisure batteries are charged from a 120w roof-mounted solar panel, also via an alternator while driving with support for hookup to power 2 x 240v plugs.
We are optionally including all our cooking/camping gear, inc. Dometic compressor fridge, TV, insulated blackout blinds for cab, gas bottles, , shower tent, Thetford Porta-Potti and spare casette and chems, 35l AquaRoll, WasteMaster grey water tank. Includes cruise control, Sony Android/iPhone SatNav stereo w/reversing camera.

Fixed bed in the rear, above the garage area. Can sleep across the van, or use the extenders to sleep long-wise for a nearly king sized bed!
