We bought the campervan a few years ago now so we could tour round the UK and look for the next place we wanted to move to which we have now found so no longer need the van. We purchased this van already converted, but re-did much of the decor and layout so it suited us and would be a real home from home on our travels.
In the sleeping/dining area, there are 2 wall cupboards and a pull out bed which is in multiple segments to allow different sleeping/sitting configurations. There is storage space underneath the beds (alongside the batteries and Truma system). There is a also a wall mounted TV which is linked to an aerial on the roof so you can get TV in most places or cast from ipads etc
The shower and hot water works with the Truma system (runs off LPG or electric when on hook up) so you can have hot showers. The Shower area also has a built in Thetford toilet with flush.
We added wall and base cupboards and a wooden work top into the kitchen area and also fitted a Thetford hob/oven and deep sink so the kitchen basically functions just like one at home. There is an Alpicool fridge/freezer which I think is 40l, but it fits enough food for about 3 days we have found. We also added a shelf above the driver/passenger seat area for extra storage. There is a pop-up electric socket and USB ports in the kitchen and either end of the bed.
The van can be heated in various ways – there is a diesel heater, the Truma system blows out hot air and when on hook up we use a small electric radiator. We have camped in this van all year round and are never cold. The curtains separating the drivers cab from the main van area and under the sink are interlined so keep heat in and cold out. The rear door blinds attach with magnets and are again interlined with reflective material facing the outside of the van to reflect heat away. The top fabric in all but the side window coverings is Liberty Tresco design which gives the interior a bright and summery feel whatever the weather!
There are 4x 100w solar panels on the roof, 2 Bosch leisure batteries 180 ah , Renogy converter 3000 watt and Renogy solar rover mpp. There is an external plug for electric hook up too.
Fresh water and grey waste tanks are located under the van and the LPG gas cylinder is also there (the cooker runs off LPG).
The bed measures 1m 86cm length x 1m 67cm width cm and is positioned longways to accommodate tall people! The bed can be used as a large double or 2 singles. The mattress is a Tempur one that we cut up and is extremely comfortable!
Please note: Quirky Campers do not inspect the listings for accuracy or check campervans in person. We have asked sellers to provide evidence of certificates and paperwork however you MUST check yourself that the information provided is present and correct. You will need to exercise the normal due diligence when buying any vehicle.
Quirky loves this style means that Quirky Campers would potentially approve this vehicle for hiring. However, Quirky have not approved a Gas Safe certificate, a Weighbridge certificate, or the vehicle's electrics. Buyers must check these themselves. For some tips on what to look out for read this. If the listing has no Gas Safe certificate, no unladen weight and no electrical sign-off please proceed with caution!
