Conversion Description

***Please note a deposit has now been taken on this vehicle but if you are interested in this van we will have another near identical campervan completed for January, or alternatively talk to us about a custom conversion.***

This conversion has been completed to combine a stunning contemporary and sleek design with expert engineering to allow you to live in luxurious comfort anywhere, at any time, for as long as your adventure takes you.

The eye catching interior has an exceptionally high quality finish using a combination of fine materials throughout. A high gloss white laminate ply combined with architectural poplar ply and matching matt black finishes set the tone for the sleek interior. There are a variety of lighting options spread throughout the van that can be used in different ways to set the feel at different times.

Behind the eye catching design, comfort in all climates has been considered at every point. The large fixed rear bed is 150 cm (5’00”) by 190 cm (6’3”) which is the width of a full king. With a memory foam mattress, individual reading lights, and a large opening skylight just above, the bed is designed to prioritise quality of sleep and provide an inviting place to rest and relax.

The kitchen is fully equipped and can be used liberally in the same way you would use a kitchen in the home. A fridge with freezer compartment, hob, full oven with grill, 240 V sockets, generous worktop space and large sink with hot water on tap allows you to enjoy cooking freely and without the limitations often brought about when travelling.

The main seating area utilises the front two captains swivel chairs to make the most efficient use of the space available. The front chairs simply turn around and a folding table (which takes seconds to set up) provide a comfortable area to relax, work, eat, etc.

Storage of course is the other key factor that has been considered through the design and build process. The fixed raised bed provides space for a hugely generous garage area, with an access door through from the kitchen. Six bikes can easily be accommodated just by removing the front wheels. For any prospective buyers please note this garage area has been left empty, but options for shelving, slide out drawers, bike racks, kennels or anything else can be discussed. While the kitchen comes with several cupboards and drawers there are also overhead cupboards throughout including two large storage cupboards above the foot of the bed. Other creative storage areas include a handy shelf behind the bed and plinth storage below the seating area.

The brief for this conversion was to combine a stunning modern design with effortless comfort in a way where the user doesn’t need to think about the all the workings of the gas, electric and water systems, they can just use the van freely and without limits. This means that all the details from a usability point of view have already been thought about and taken care of through the whole build process. Most of which you would never have reason to even be aware of.

The van was sound deadened and insulated using a combination of PIR boards and recycled plastic insulation. This helps keep noise to a minimum when travelling and allows the van to be used year round in all weathers. Integrated blinds provide privacy when needed and there is a ventilation fan which can be used in combination with the skylight to create a comfortable flow of air over the bed and through the van during the summer.

The gas system makes use of a large 30 litre LPG tank with an electric solenoid (meaning the gas can be completely isolated at the flick of a switch). Living in the van full time a tank of this size will last for over 5 weeks and is easily refilled at a petrol station for around Β£30.

Also hidden under the van is a large fresh water tank that you fill up using the fill point on the side of the van, and a grey water tank that is quickly and cleanly emptied with a simple pull of a slide valve. An LPG boiler provides hot water for showers and washing up, as well as heating that can be set to a timer or be on a thermostat.

A great deal of expertise and experience has gone into the design of the solar and electrical system. A huge capacity lithium leisure battery is kept charged by a large solar panel and also by the alternator when driving. The van can also be hooked up at home or at a campsite if desired although the system is designed to be used without ever needing to on hookup. A 1200 VA inverter means 240 V can be used at any time, with sockets available in the kitchen area and in the garage. Victron charge controllers and inverter have been used to allow maximum reliability with minimal user input. Victron components are the best available on the market and the whole system will run itself and automatically recharge and turn on/off as it is used. Again lithium has been chosen because of its unparalleled usability and low weight.

The base van is a super clean low mileage Peugeot Boxer. We have finished the van with 16” alloys and General Grabber all terrain tyres. These combine with an upgraded air assisted rear suspension to create a really stunning overall aesthetic and a van that is extremely capable.
