Spacious Luxury Campervan New Build From Islander Campervans

Low mileage Peugeot Boxer (just under 29000 miles) L3H2 based campervan conversion Hand made using Real Oak-solid and veneered, Lightweight ply for carcasing, Melamine over lightweight ply for the rear doors and a few Iroko details too. All this is handmade and painted in our workshop in Auchterarder, Scotland
This is a tried and tested unique design which has been appreciated by many when we rented a similar design out here on Quirky Campers (Tiree) with a couple of updates/improvements.
The Islander Campervans are designed for use primarily in the UK using the L3H2 van body size, you should be able to travel around most places in the UK than a wider or longer vehicle. Its also designed for comfort so the when it rains you have a comfortable spacious place to enjoy rather than being cramped and claustrophobic. It is the UK so its more likely to happen than not!
The specification of appliances reflects the quality of the build and attention to detail from the rear view camera and dimmable split level lighting to the Amtico flooring. This van has a built in Huawei wifi router and Pointing external aerial so you’ve got a better chance of a signal even in the more remote locations.
The heating is a Whale 5g undermount system which can be either 240v or gas. This is a really good air heater and has a night setting which is so quiet you barely hear it. As its external it can be left on all night safely and doesn’t tick like the diesel systems do. This system combined with the fully insulated conversion makes for an easily controlled temperature inside the campervan. The underslung Whale Expanse water heater, also 240v or gas, performs very well too heating 14ltrs in just 11 min. The water system onboard is a pressurised system so you have instant water just like you have at home.
The toilet/shower has a pull over screen door for privacy and the Iroko duckboard in the shower can be lifted in an out when using the shower. The toilet is a fresh water flushing cartridge toilet from Thetford and the cabinets are faced with colour matched melamine. The shower mixer is a domestic model and there’s a Max air fan above. The Maxxair fan has remote control which can set fan speed as well as air in/out and even an automatic function.
The CBE control system looks after the electrics throughout the van including split charging (and 240v charging) and the Votronic Mppt takes care of the 200w solar panel. There is a 2000w inverter on board as well as fused 240v hook up system.
The hob is a domestic hob converted to run on LPG and 12v (for the ignition). The Thetford oven is also electronic ignition and has a grill as well as oven. The Fridge is huge by comparison to some campervans and even has a freezer compartment. Its quite energy efficient and has a quiet setting for night time too.
The sofa/bed is 190cm long (6’3”) and opens out to a full standard width double bed with storage underneath. There is a Lagun table mounted to the front of the seat which can be moved around easily or taken off. The veneered oak walls are complimented with hand made black out blinds as well as a plain white black out blind on the sliding door that can be used with a tv projector. There are 4(2×2) high output USB sockets on both sides of the van as well as 2x 240v sockets for use when on an external hook up.
Externally the van is fitted with a large Fiamma wind out awning for the sunnier days. If you would like we can arrange external graphics (at an additional cost) to your design or one of ours on the Islandercampervans.co.uk website.
The campervan is sold with a very recent MOT and service and comes with a 1 year guarantee on the conversion as well as 1 year guarantee on the van from Warrantee Wise.
