About the Campervan

Description of Beds: Pai has a fixed double bed measuring 130cm wide and 190cm long with a comfortable memory foam mattress, which runs along the van making it suitable for the taller person; suitable for 2 people. Description of Seating: Pai has one bench seat and an additional single seat in the living space. In her cab are 2 belted seats (including the driver) with headrests; along with a headrest safety restraint attachment for a dog. Description of Electrical Setup: Pai boasts 2 x 110Ah leisure batteries which are charged using either the 160watt solar panel or, when the engine is running, through the split charger, making her suitable for off-grid camping. Additionally these batteries can be topped up when connected to ‘shore’ (hook-up) using the cable supplied. There are 5 x USB points conveniently situated around the living area, one 240V socket in the kitchen area that works using the inverter. There are 2 further 240V sockets located just below the bed which work only when connected to shore power. About the area: Pai is located in picturesque North Devon, and is perfectly placed for exploration of al the natural wonders the South West has to offer. Explore everything from the wilds of Bodmin, Exmoor and Dartmoor to the awe-inspiring Cornish or Jurassic coastlines. Also within easy reach of the motorway network which takes you up country and beyond. Parking: Please contact Pau & Fi directly for information about railway station and airport collection/drop offs. If you drive to collect Pai you can park your car in her space. Cooking Equipment: Pai has a two ring gas hob, gas oven with grill and roasting tray, a Dometic 45L fridge with ice compartment, with an additional portable chiller available if required. She has all pots, pans, plates and condiments you could need to cook up a feast, including copper wine goblets, copper wine cooler complete with complimentary bottle of fizz, stove top espresso machine, cafetière and an electric milk frother. (Ground coffee and teabags are provided). Water and Sanitation: Pai has a gas heated Cointra shower within an internal cubicle; this space can be shared with the optional Popaloo*, (the eco-friendly, degradable ‘bag it ‘n bin it’ toilet which is normally stored in its bag in the garage); there is an alternative option of the chemical porta potti, Please choose which one you would like from the add on list. Shower water is supplied by the 70L water container in the rear garage. Fresh water for the kitchen area is provided by a 20L tank located under the Belfast sink. This tank is filled through the filler cap located on the worktop. This water is pumped by a very quiet Shurflo pump to the kitchen tap. The grey waste from the sink water is collected into a 40L waste-water carrier that is positioned externally under the van when parked up at your overnight destination, this can then be easily wheeled to the nearest grey waste disposal point as necessary. Audio Equipment: Pai has a wireless Bluetooth speaker and various USB ports are available for you to play your own music in the living area. There is a DAB/FM radio with Satnav and Bluetooth in the cab. Type of Heating: Pai has blown gas heating. An optional electric blanket is available for use with shore power if required. Extra Information: Since purchasing her in 2021 Paul & Fi have upgraded her ‘brain’, fitted the Fiamma 4m awning, improved the water filling and waste disposal facilities and replaced the soft furnishings. Paul & Fi haven taken her as a support vehicle for The Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for the local Hospice and Mind. Pai performed admirably, catering superbly for the team of 9 and offering good protection from the typical British weather over an intense 24 hours! Her time on the Quirky Campers fleet has seen Pai venture north to the NC500 and Scottish Islands and Highlands, into Pembrokeshire, Brecon Beacons and Snowdonia, into Europe to the Christmas Markets in Bruges, Strasbourg and Colmar and as far south as Sardinia, across the Mediterranean to Barcelona; of course, she has also attended multiple music festivals. She is an all-round advanturer ! Conversion Story: Pai started life as a carpenter’s van; her previous owners lovingly designed and converted her in 2019 using reclaimed scaffolding planks, pallet wood panelling and copper piping. For Paul & Fi it was love at first sight and they would now like others to enjoy their own experiences and create amazing memories in Pai.

Pai was perfect. She has everything you need to enjoy your adventures. We took Pai on a trip around Scotland and we were not let down once. The majority of our time was spent off grid and we were able to cook full meals with the equipment provided and had daily hot showers without running out of gas or battery power. This combined with the lovely decor really helped us make the most of our trip. We would highly recommend.
