There’s only one word to describe this camper and that’s super’CALI’fragilisticexpialidocious. Nicknamed Cali, short for Calippo, she’s been designed to provide relief in hot weather and thrive in cold climates thanks to her built-in heater and ceiling fan. Whether you’re travelling as a small family, with someone special or riding solo, Cali has been converted to suit all adventure types. To the rear, there is a fixed double bed, separated from the living area by curtains. Giving you privacy if travelling with others and a cosy snug when travelling alone.

Cali’s kitchen is guaranteed to inspire, no matter how much skill you have in the kitchen. From her two gas hobs to her spice rack, this kitchen can assist with adding flavour to any meal. For dessert, you can head outside to enjoy roasted marshmallows around the campfire - life doesn’t get much sweeter!

With a bike rack, levelling jacks which allow you to park on uneven terrain and bundles of storage to tuck away hiking gear, Cali is an adventurer's dream! This camper is also CAZ-compliant which means the UK is truly your oyster. So if your idea of adventure is parking up at a campsite, somewhere wild or in the middle of a city, Cali has you covered. Now the question is, where will the road lead you?

About the Campervan

Description of Beds: One fixed double bed by the back door, standard size of 135cm x190cm with ultra comfy mattress. Pillows and double duvet provided, bed linen can be supplied additionally on request too. Please bring your own towels. Cali also has an awesome a custom-made child’s pod bed built above the foot of the fixed double bed. The pod measures ~ 140 x 70cm (standard toddler mattress size) and comes fitted with a porthole for extra fun. Description of Seating: Cali has three belted seats in the front (including the driver) with headrests. The 2 passenger seats are suitable for car seat use with the seat belt, however, there is no Isofix in the cab. The two passenger seats rotate 180 degrees to become seating in the van once parked up. There is also a bench seat for additional seating inside the van. Description of Electrical Setup: 150W solar power system works off grid year-round to charge the 105 amp leisure battery, which powers 12V lights, fridge, water pump and 4 USB sockets (2 on counter and 2 by bedside). 4 additional plug sockets work once connected to 240V hook up - hook up cable is provided. About the area: Cali lives in the beautiful Forest of Dean, with amazing landscapes and adventure activities and fantastic local pubs. We are within a 90 minute drive to South Wales, with its incredible beaches and mountains, Somerset with its rolling hills and excellent cider pubs, and Devon or Dorset with its stunning coastline and beaches. We are just 20 minutes from Chepstow on the M48 and 40 minutes from the North of Bristol. Parking: If you drive to collect Cali, you are welcome to leave your car in her normal spot on-street parking (free). Cooking Equipment: Cali comes kitted out with everything you need for a delicious feast, including a spice each stocked with delicious flavours. Our kitchen kit includes 4 enamel camping mugs, 4 large enamel dining plates, 4 enamel bowls, 4 enamel side plates, cutlery for 4, 2 wine glasses, a chopping board, a kettle, large and small frying pan, and large and small saucepan. There are wooden cooking spoons, sharp knives, a tin opener, peeler and bottle opener. Cali also has a cafetière as well as a colander, washing up bowl, and a small dustpan and brush. Water and Sanitation: There is a 100-litre underslung water tank that can be switched on to supply water to the sink via a 12V electric water pump. Cali also has a compost loo hidden under one of the seats for your opportunity to poo with a view! We recommend bringing your own bottled water for drinking, or we can provide a 15L water container filled with drinking water if requested. Audio Equipment: Cali has a pioneer head unit in the cab. USB plug-in and Bluetooth are both available so you can play your own music. We recommend bringing a portable speaker to play music in the rear of the van. Type of Heating: Cali has a diesel heater which can be switched on remotely to get the van nice and toasty before you head inside. Cali is so well insulated that you can have the heater on for an hour in the evening and stay warm for the whole night, even in January in the Lake District! There is also a carbon monoxide alarm for safety. Extra Information: Cali is a family-friendly adventure wagon with enough power and love to travel wherever the wind takes you. Nicknamed Cali, short for Calippo, she’s been designed to take you from the hot to the cold, the high to the low and the wet to the dry. Kitted out with a bike rack, awning, and large under-the-bed ‘garage’ space, she’s a great explorer base and has a huge amount of space for bikes, climbing gear, ski gear, surfboards and other sporting equipment. She comes with camping chairs and a fire pit to allow you to stargaze to your heart's content. Being CAZ compliant means the world is your oyster - where will you take her next? Conversion Story: Cali began life as a panel trade van. She was beautifully converted in 2020 in the lovely seaside town of Paignton before we chose her after a careful hunt. With low mileage, CAZ compliance and some excellent features including swivel seats, a diesel heater and a max fan extractor fan, she was the perfect option for us. We have added our own features including reupholstering, repainting, and adding the bike rack and awning, but many of the original conversion features still remain.
