Description of Beds:. Iona sleeps up to 3 people. There is a comfortable fixed double bed located at the rear of the van (sleeps 2) and the seating area converts into an easy to assemble additional sleeping space (190 x 70cm). Description of Seating: Three belted seats in the front (including driver) with head rests. About the area: Iona lives in Yoker, Glasgow and is parked safely in a private car park. It takes approximately 15-20 minutes to travel to the area from Glasgow City Centre or Glasgow Airport. The area can also be easily accessed via train, bus or ferry. Once you're here, we'll welcome you, introduce you to Iona, and then you're off on your adventure! Parking: If you drive to collect Iona, you are welcome to leave your car in her normal spot. Cooking Equipment: Iona comes equipped with everything you need to cook while on your travels. In addition to the two gas hobs located in the kitchen area, there is also a portable double gas burner that you can hire as an additional extra to cook outside. The van has a 40 litre fridge, perfect for keeping your food fresh and drinks chilled, plus all the kitchen utensils and cutlery you'll need for feeding up to 5 people including cutlery | plates | mugs | pots | pans | chopping boards | camping kettle | cooking knives | sink | drainer | spice rack | cooking oil | tea towels and salt 'n' pepper). Iona also has a rubbish bin and composting bin stored in the cupboard under the sink. In this storage area you'll also find spare bin bags, environmentally friendly organic washing up liquid and a small dustpan and brush. Water Facilities: There is a 20 litre removable water tank that supplies water to the sink via a pump. Iona also has a spare 10 litre water tank in the storage area which connects to a power washer (if you need to clean bikes or any other sports equipment). You can hire a portable toilet as an optional extra. Audio Equipment: Iona has a touch screen bluetooth unit in the front cab which you can use to play your own music. There are also 4 USB ports in the rear of the van for charging. A projector, 60" screen and retro games console can be hired as additional extras. Type of Heating: Iona has a fuel efficient diesel heater which is perfect for warming you up after your latest encounter with the great outdoors! Conversion Story: Iona is a 2014 Citroen Relay and was previously used by a theatre production team in the central belt of Scotland. Unfortunately the production company closed during lockdown and Iona needed a new home. When the opportunity arose we jumped at the chance to give her the love and attention she needed! The refurbishment was carefully planned so Iona was equipped with everything required to ensure you have the best off grid adventures. We enlisted ‘Northbound Camper Vans’ to complete this task and we are delighted with the final results! The build is influenced by modern, clean and comfortable interior design and takes consideration of stylish but functional spaces making the experience, wherever you go, one to relish. Our aim was to create a bright and airy space that even on a dark day feels warm and homely inside, tapping into the Scottish word ‘Crowdie’ associated with comfort and happiness.
