About the Campervan
Description of Beds: Rae of Sunshine sleeps two people in a king-size bed which converts from the seating/dining table area.
Description of Seating: Three belted seats in the front (including driver) with head rests.
About the area: Rae of Sunshine is based at Vanfolk's HQ in East Bristol. Here you are perfectly placed to venture to the beaches of the South West, maybe the mountains of Wales, or head into the quintessentially English Cotswolds countryside.
Parking: If you drive to collect Rae of Sunshine, you are welcome to leave your car in her spot in our shuttered workshop. If you arrive by train at Bristol Temple Meads, you can either change onto the local railway and get off at Lawrence Hill (from where we're just around the corner), or we can collect you from the station.
Cooking Equipment: In addition to the two-burner gas hob inside, Rae of Sunshine has everything you could need to cook up a feast, including: mugs | plates | bowls and cutlery for four | wine glasses | tumblers | chopping board | stove top kettle | frying pan | large and small saucepans | various cooking utensils. Rae of Sunshine also has a drying rack which hooks onto the rail above the sink and a small dustpan and brush.
Water Facilities: There is a 25-litre removable water tank that supplies water to the sink via a pump. You can hire a portable toilet as an optional extra.
Electrics: Rae of Sunshine has internal 240V power, powered either by solar when you're off grid, or via a mains hookup when you're at a campsite.
Audio Equipment: Rae of Sunshine has an entertainment system in the cab and the option to add on a Bluetooth speaker for the living area.
Type of Heating: The ultimate van life accessory – a woodburning stove makes Rae of Sunshine a 4-season camper.
Conversion Story: Rae of Sunshine is the work of Simon & Em at Vanfolk in Bristol, who started converting vans in March 2020 in lockdown and have been hooked ever since. An ex-courier van, Rae of Sunshine has undergone a serious internal and external transformation, featuring eye-catching mountain graphics by local artist Sophie Rae, a modern yet farmhouse-style interior and woodburning stove.
