Description of Beds: Sleeps 6 adults. Two doubles (full sized) and two fixed single bunk beds (suitable for children/teenagers/small adults). One double lowers from the ceiling and the other double is created from cushions in the dining area. Description of Seating: 5 belted seats. Drivers swivel seat with 3 point seatbelt. Front passenger swivel seat with 3 point seatbelt. Three rear passenger seats with 3 point seatbelts. One rear passenger seat has an Isofix. Car seats available. About the area: Baloo lives next to the A1 near Baldock in North Hertfordshire, close to the M25 and with easy access to the North, South and East of England. There is good train access from London with stations at Baldock, Biggleswade and Stevenage close by. Train station pick up and drop offs can be arranged. Parking: Off street parking Cooking Equipment: Baloo has an oven, grill, 2 gas hobs, a fridge and a kitchen sink. Hot water is possible off-grid. Baloo has a private flushing toilet, sink and inside shower as well as an outside shower. Audio Equipment: Digital radio with CD player, USB and Bluetooth. There are front and rear speakers. Type of Heating: Gas Heater. Gas boiler. Heating and hot water available off-grid. Gas is included in the price. Conversion Story: Baloo was originally a British Gas van used to insulate homes in Scotland. The conversion was carried out by the previous owners over a period of 4 months. Having viewed a number of 'plastic' motorhomes and small transit style campervans they wanted a spacious and airy campervan with a 'country cottage' feel. Lots of large 100x60cm windows have been fitted to bring the outside inside. The 7ft 3inch internal height gives a great feeling of space. On rainy days the upper double bed can be lowered to create a second 'lounge' or kids den while the dining area still has the head height for a seated adult underneath. Air suspension has been fitted to smooth the ride. The external shower is perfect for washing off salt water, cleaning muddy bikes and water fights! In the winter of 2022 Baloo was completely refurbished and upgraded and now boasts an internal shower, off grid hot water, new upholstery, bedding and a cheerful new colour scheme. Trips in Baloo must be within the UK only (no EU travel) and sorry but no pets allowed.
