Silurian’s wooden interior has been perfectly complemented with colourful soft furnishings to create a romantic and cosy setting. By day you can seat 6 around the dining table for a post hike fueled brunch and by night you can stretch out in Silurian’s spacious king size bed.

You’ll never be stuck for dinner options in this camper! Silurian’s kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator, 4 ring gas hob and an oven with grill, meaning after a long day exploring, you can cook up your favourite dish from scratch. There’s even an outside awning, picnic table and chairs, so even if the weather is not on your side, you can still host a wonderful alfresco experience.

Silurian has running hot water and a heater, so you can escape the crowds even off-season in the cooler months.

You can simply load your bags and venture off the beaten track in Silurian. Fitted with solar power, inverter and outside solar shower to rinse off any muddy or sandy feet, you have everything you’d need for an epic off-grid adventure. And for those looking to fill their holiday with activities such as bike rides, kayaking or surfing, there is a tow hitch giving you the opportunity to bring your kit with you.

About the Campervan

Description of Beds: Silurian sleeps 2 in a comfortable & spacious king sized bed that is easily adapted from the dining table. We can provide bedding, let us know. Description of Seating: The front cab has three belted seats with headrests. The two passenger seats are child-seat compatible. Silurian can offer a child seat for the front cab and a very comfortable cab hammock for use in either the front cab or in the rear of the van... The spacious rear has ample social room for up to 6 seated along the benches and dining table. Description of Electrical Setup: Silurian has a solar panel, 3kW invertor and the option of 240V electric hook up, with an easy switch to convert from one to the other. There are four 12V USB sockets and two mains plugs for 240V. Silurian is off-grid compatible, with a 12V electric/gas fridge and lighting throughout, and heating apparatus described below. Recently installed high performance Li Ion Battery which allows a trustworthy life for your off grid adventures. About the area: ‘Silurian lives nestled in Bannau Brycheiniog with bountiful pockets of serenity and beauty to be explored. Rivers, lakes and of course mountain adventures await. Further west lie the beaches of Gower, Pembrokeshire and Cardiganshire, a short jaunt to these areas of outstanding natural beauty. She is parked within a working farm in Talybont-on-Usk, a very popular spot for cycling, hiking and canoeing. We can provide some tips and "secret" spots for you to enjoy’. Parking: We provide the option of collection from Abergavenny train station, or you are welcome to leave your vehicle safely at the farm in Talybont’. Cooking Equipment: Silurian has a Belling gas oven with a grill and four hobs. We can also provide a small gas stove for outdoor cooking. Silurian has the facilities to cook up a feast, with traditional tin camping plates, bowls and mugs, cutlery and apparatus to cover most chef’s needs: chopping board, stove-top kettle, large and small frying pan, large and small saucepan, a sharp knife, an Opinel pen knife, tin opener, corkscrew/bottle opener. Silurian also has a stove-top espresso machine, sink, lathe-turned fruit bowl, and small dustpan and brush’. Water and Sanitation: We have running hot and cold water in Silurian, with a sink and tap. Gas water heater has 9L capacity for washing up etc. 30L drinking water tank easily refilled and grey water tank on the underside of the vehicle. We provide an outdoor shower and portable toilet if requested, along with its own easy-to-erect tent.’ Audio Equipment: In Silurian’s front cab we have a radio/CD player. In the rear we provide a CD/DAB Radio/Bluetooth stereo with AUX and USB connections. The in-built speakers provide crisp acoustics.’ Type of Heating: Silurian has a gas heater for the cooler nights, and she is very well insulated, which means you can adventure through the year.’ Extra Information: Silurian has been exquisitely converted using a carefully selected range of wood, including locally sourced oak, reclaimed beech worktops and sustainable Scandinavian pine to give a tranquil and unique maritime-invoking interior. The van is thoroughly ventilated and insulated, with no corners cut. The makers have balanced their artisan mastery with practicality to ensure a trip away in Silurian is a pleasure for the senses wherever you venture. Conversion Story: ‘Silurian was purchased in 2018 by two friends wanting to test their creativity and produce something special. Led by a professional carpenter/joiner with the support from a novice apprentice, the pursuit of a perfect finish required painstaking precision and dedication. Silurian is a one-off conversion that was both a joy and a rewarding learning curve. We really hope you enjoy it.
