Description of Beds: Pumbaa sleeps two people comfortably in a large king-size bed that can be converted to a dinette area during the day. Description of Seating: There are two belted seats in the front and extensive seating space in the back for up to four or five people to socialize and have dinner comfortably. Description of Electrical Setup: Pumbaa is equipped with 300 Ah Lithium batteries and 3000W inverter to provide both 12v and 220v eletrical outlets. Solar panels (400W) fitted on the rooftop of the van are the main source of charging power, but you can also charge the Lithium batteries while driving (with a 60 A battery to battery charger) or shore power hookup (very convenient when staying in campsites). This setup allows Pumbaa to be 100% off-grid for a long time in sunny environments or by driving a couple of hours every day. About the area: When not on an adventure, Pumbaa rests on a private driveway in Kennett, Newmarket. It’s very close to the train station and an hour's drive away from the spectacular Norfolk coast. Parking:. While you’re away in Pumbaa, you’re welcome to leave your car in our private driveway where Pumbaa usually rests if you’re driving. Cooking Equipment: Pumbaa is fitted with a full kitchen with a two burner induction cooktop, a deep sink with hot water and filtered drinking water, an under-counter fridge, a Nespresso coffee maker, an electric kettle, and a camping stove with grill for an outdoor bbq (this can also be used to reduce the use of battery consumption if you are stationary for a longer period and don’t have a good sun exposure). Pumbaa has cutlery for 4, a kitchen knife set, various kitchen utensils and cooking spoons, a tin opener and a corkscrew/bottle opener, 4 large dining plates and 4 small plates, 4 plastic bowls, 2 large bamboo bowls, 4 white plastic mugs, 4 plastic glasses, 4 espresso mugs. There are also a few chopping boards, two medium-sized frying pans, three saucepans (a small, a medium and a large one with is also collapsable) and colanders of various sizes. Coffee, tea, sugar, salt and olive oil are provided. Water and Sanitation: Pumbaa has a 52 litre (12 gallons) grey water tank and a 70 litre (15 gallons) freshwater tank fitter underneath the van pumped to an indoor shower as well as a kitchen sink. Hot water is also available thanks to a 10-litre electric water heater underneath the left bench in the seating area. The separate tap provides filtered water through an under-sink water filter system. The full, enclosed bathroom is equipped with an Air Head urine diverting composting toilet, shower and an air vent on the roof. Audio Equipment: Pumbaa has a Google Chromecast combined with a projector and a projector screen for the perfect movie night everywhere you are. To keep you connected anywhere you go (if you want to), Pumbaa has a 4G router with an external antenna. Type of Heating: A diesel heater will keep you nice and cosy in Pumbaa when is chilly outside. Extra Information: Pumbaa is a fantastic home for adventurous pets that don’t want to give up home comforts. The cab area is completely separate from the living area but easily accessible through a sliding door. This combined with a well-insulated living area will keep you and your pets cool in summer and warm in winter. To make your driving experience more comfortable, the cab area is equipped with an Android touchscreen display with SatNav, Spotify, and reversing camera. Conversion Story: Pumbaa has lived many lives already. He was a working van for a while, before being converted by his previous owners. We bought it a couple of years ago and recently refurbished it before taking us on epic adventures in the Norwegian Fjords, Scottish Highlands, French Alps, Cornish beaches, and Italian Apennine mountains. After a few years full of adventures, Pumbaa was renovated to give it a fresh new look.
