Conversion Story: Tui’s owners, Charlie and Sophie, love for campervan trips came from exploring New Zealand during an 18-month stint living over there. We travelled the country up and down in a small Toyota Hiace and were overjoyed by the freedom of being able to park up in a different place every night. Having explored so much of New Zealand, we came to the realisation that we knew it better than we did our home country. Charlie, looking for a challenge, decided to buy a second hand Ford Transit and convert it into a cosy and comfortable camper to re-create the freedom experienced in NZ with the added comfort of a tiny home on wheels.
After 18 months of hard graft and learning, Tui was born. She has been designed with comfort being the top priority with a generous sized kitchen and a huge double bed with extra thick mattress perfect for cooking up a storm and getting a great night’s sleep. The bed converts into a large U-shape sofa with a large table that can easily fit 5 people, perfect for having friends over, cosying up on a rainy day or simply relaxing after a hard day of exploring. We have thoroughly enjoyed going away in Tui and we hope that you will too!
