Description of Beds: Our permanent main bed has a memory foam mattress that is 190cm long and 136cm wide and will comfortably sleep two adults. We have a second fold-out double bed that is 158 cm long (with an additional 47cm leg room underneath the worktop) and 125cm wide and folds out with screw on legs. This bed will sleep two children easily but would also suit a further adult if required. Description of Seating: The van takes 3 passengers, all of which will fit comfortably in the living space. There are three belted seats up front, including the driver, with headrests and an armrest for the driver. Description of Electrical Setup: Our van has several three 3 pin plugs and 2 USB charging ports, along with a 12v socket. There is a large leisure battery and 240v hook-up for campsites, a small inverter and a 20w solar panel to trickle charge the leisure battery. About the area: The van is located at Charlton Park Industrial Estate, near Malmesbury. It’s a beautiful country estate and a brilliant place to collect and drop-off the van, giving an opportunity to drive around off the main roads to acclimatise to the van and controls. Parking: Cars can be left at Charlton Park near Unit 1 for the entire duration of your excursion. If you travel by train to collect the van then the nearest stations are Kemble or Chippenham and we will be able to collect you from either. Cooking Equipment: The van is fully equipped with pots, pans, cutlery, kettle, cafetiere and some basic condiments such as salt, pepper and oil. There are two gas hobs that can be used to boil the kettle and cook up a storm. A bottle opener is included as well as a colander. A copper sink is included with running water from a 25 litre water tank that is easily refillable. A toasting rack is included for use with the gas hob and several mugs for tea / coffee. Water and Sanitation: The van is equipped with a portaloo which is removable. There is also a 25 litre water tank that pumps drinking water directly to our lovely copper sink. The water tank is situated in the rear of the van and is easily removable for refilling. For hot water a kettle is provided which can be boiled using the gas hobs and which will quickly provide hot water for washing up etc. Audio Equipment: Our van has a Pioneer head unit with hands free calling and Bluetooth for music. We also include a small rechargeable Bluetooth speaker in the rear for you to enjoy music in the living area. Type of Heating: The van has a gas heater, connected to our 6kg calor gas system. It comes with a thermostat and high and low speed fan options. The heating vents are down close to the floor, providing a gentle warming of the van from the floor upwards. Extra Information: Our van used to be a builders van but since its previous life it was completely stripped and rebuilt as a camper. Utilising pine cladding and recycled plastic insulation, the van was created to provide a comforting space that was enjoyable to be in, in any weather conditions. We can provide optional extras such as a 3000 kw generator and Ezup awning for additional shelter. Conversion Story: PudSplash started life as a builders van which had clearly been looked after during its previous life. Despite its high mileage it had servicing done like clockwork and ran like a dream. With a little TLC we began stripping the van down to its shell and then insulating, cladding and building the interior with ease of use as our ethos. We added pine cladding and ample storage cupboards, a gas heater with a thermostat and a large static bed (we plan to change the bed to retractable in the future). Our pièce de resistance was a beautiful copper sink that we found at a garage sale that we added into the solid wood cooking area.
