Description of Beds: Emilia sleeps up to two adults and one small child. She has a double fixed bed, 185cm by 135cm, and has bench seating that converts into a small third berth, 185cm by 50cm, suitable for a young child. Description of Seating: There are three fixed, belted seats in the front cab, all with headrests. There are two sofa bench-style seats in the main living area next to the bed. A sturdy wooden pull-out table (large shelf) can be pulled out from under the bed to form a table between the seats. A slimline child car seat is available as an optional extra for the duration of your hire, subject to availability. Description of Electrical Setup: Emilia has an inverter so has 12V and 240V power when both off grid and when on electrical hook-up (cable supplied). Her electrics are charged either by solar when you are off grid, by the engine while you drive (through the split-charge relay) or via mains hook up when you are at a campsite. About the area: Emilia lives in beautiful Bristol, with direct public transport connections to London and other nearby towns. If you come by train, Emilia is an easy taxi ride from Bristol Parkway or Bristol Temple Meads train stations. Bristol has great links to major motorways headed into Wales, the North or South-West of England. Parking: There is plenty of free parking on our quiet residential street. Cooking Equipment: Emilia has a lovely kitchen space, with a fridge with freezer compartment, iroko wooden worktops, belfast sink and a two-burner Thetford gas hob. Emilia’s reversible high-power extraction fan will keep the kitchen ventilated and dry. Emilia has all you need to cook an amazing feast, including: tableware for four | chopping board | salad bowl | stove top kettle | cafetiere | frying pan | 2 saucepans | wooden spoons | knives | tin opener | corkscrew | bottle opener | colander | small dustpan and brush | and washing up supplies. Water and Sanitation: Emelia has hot and cold running water and comes complete with an external hot shower. She has a total of 75L fresh water capacity in the garage in the form of three large containers that are easy to fill up under a tab or with a garden hose. Grey water is collected under the sink and can easily be monitored and emptied when full. Water can be heated in a few minutes using gas (if you are off grid) or electric hook-up, using the simple control panel. A portable toilet, and an external shower tent for more privacy or to enjoy a hot shower in the middle of nature, are available as optional extras. Audio Equipment: In the cab, Emilia has an entertainment system/ digital radio with bluetooth. As an optional extra Emilia can be hired with a projector and screen, so you can watch movies from the bed! The projector can easily be connected to your own USB flash drive, hard drive or content can be directly streamed using your phone’s data connection. Type of Heating: A high quality and efficient diesel heater system is fed directly from the diesel tank and will keep you warm no matter the weather; switch on and Emilia is toasty in minutes. Extra Information: Emilia has parking sensors and a reversing camera making her easy to drive and manoeuvre. Conversion Story: Emilia started life as a very well-maintained and looked after service van. Her hand-crafted conversion was completed in April 2022. Emilia was designed and created with style and practically in-mind, using methods and materials that are built to last. Her luxurious large Heki skylight, bamboo blinds, Farrow and Ball hand painted cupboards, bespoke thick memory foam mattress, and organic linen curtains all help to complete her elegant, light and airy style. With her solar charging, diesel heater, gas water heater, power inverter and hot water shower she is fully kitted out for a luxurious multi-day off grid adventure, but she is equally at home on campsites if you don’t want to go too far from the beaten track.
