Beautiful Benny knows exactly what it means to be a showstopper. You’ll never lose where you’re parked in this camper. Her bubbly and fun personality shines from the outside in, from her bright yellow exterior through to her block-coloured interior. Located in Cardiff, Benny is ideally situated for families looking to explore the glorious welsh coast. Her two fixed double bunk beds mean you can spend less time faffing at bedtime and more time savouring those precious moments. There’s also an extra cab bed towards the front, making her a fantastic choice for larger families.

Everything in Benny’s kitchen has been organised with families in mind; taking the stress out of dinner time. There are two gas hobs for you to cook adventure-fueling meals on, a fridge freezer to store ice lollies and chilled drinks and a wide selection of cooking utensils. Settle around the dining table for dinner, followed by a family game night. When driving, the seats around are belted, so you can keep your little ones entertained with colouring or stories whilst en route to your next destination.

Benny was crafted with family getaways in mind. Two large solar panels provide you with plenty of power to charge things on the go and lots of storage space to tidy away toys, games and clothes. Let Benny lure you away from the daily grind and dive head first into adventure.

About the Campervan

Description of Beds: Benny sleeps up to 5 people in two double bunk beds and a cab bed up front. The bunk beds are double beds and can sleep 4 adults. The cab bed is a roll away single bed with a 3'' foam mattress. If you are using the single bed we provide window blinds/insulation making the cab super cosy. We recommend children under 6 years old use the bottom double bunk bed or cab bed. If you only need one double bed, the top bunk slats can be stowed away with bungee ropes so you have more space when you're parked up (we keep the mattress). Description of Seating: Benny has 5 belted seats; 3 up front (including driver) and 2 at the back by the folding table. All belts are three point belts and all passenger seats can take a child's car seat/booster using the belt. 5 people can sit cosily around the sky blue table in the living space. Description of Electrical Setup: Benny runs off the sun with two large solar panels on her roof so you don't need an electric hook up to have power and can stay off grid. There are 12v USB sockets in the living space and two 12v USB sockets in the cab. We haven't yet run out of power but in case the sun really didn't shine for a few days there is a back up leisure battery to keep you going. About the area: Benny lives in Cardiff and is parked on a quiet residential street. Parking: If you drive to collect Benny, you are welcome to leave your car in her normal spot on our drive. If you come by train, Benny is 5 minutes walk from our local train station (5 minutes on a connecting train from Cardiff Central) and we are happy to pick you up when organised in advance. If you want to keep it local, driving North will take you to the Brecon Beacons and hundreds of beautiful waterfalls in 30 minutes, West you'll be surfing at Ogmore beach in 20 minutes and on the beautiful sandy beaches of Pembrokeshire in 1.5hours, East takes you up in to to the green valleys of the Wye river in under an hour. Cooking Equipment: Benny has everything you need to make your first coffee of the day through to a feast for dinner. In the kitchen you'll find 2 gas hobs, a fridge/freezer and all the utensils we could think of including a V60 coffee maker, 5 x melamine cups, plates and bowls, cutlery for 5, cooking pots, frying pan, graters, salad bowl, chopping boards, good knives, colanders/steamers, bottle opener, peeler, wooden spoons, spatulas, serving spoons and a lovely orange Le Creuset kettle. There is a hidden food waste bin under the sink and space for recycling. Water and Sanitation: Benny has cold water suitable for washing up and teeth brushing from the sink tap; fresh water and waste water tanks are under the sink and easy to remove to empty/refill. Drinking water is from the well secured 5l Kilner Jar (extra lovely if you add a few cucumber slices). Benny's portaloo is stored in the bench and comes with a small pop up tent if you add them as extras. Type of Heating: You'll be kept warm at night by Benny's gas heater, although we've never had to use it as 5 people and a kettle boiling keeps it toasty enough in the winter! Extra Information: Benny started life as an AA sign van and was extremely well maintained as a result, including a new engine just before we bought her in 2021. In certain lights, you can still see the faint AAs on the side of her, to keep connected to Benny's roots. Our lovely friend Tom at Mint Campers converted her using his incredible carpentry and fine artist skills. Materials were chosen to create a beautiful, cosy and child friendly space, from the ply and formica table top to the hard wearing denim sofa. There really is nothing like rocking up somewhere beautiful in a big yellow van and opening up the side door and a cold drink cooled by the sun.
