Monty

2023 to 2024 we decided to have a maker over with Monty. While in Morocco we decided to have a makeover and change the colour of Monty and have some hand painted wild life painted on him. So he is very unique and quirky. People we met all around Europe and Morocco wow would always bump in to again on our travels as they could never forget or miss Monty in the Crowd!!We have decided to rent houses out full time and live the van life full time and travel in the winter months in warmer climates. Everything is revolves around outdoor living. So we built an outdoor kitchen in the rear garage with a extendable motorbike rack for our e rack will accommodate two bicycles. The oven originally a boat oven pulls out of the rear. We have made a out door sink which hangs on the rear door. And a work surface to prep food on the other door. So all cooking is done outside unless bad weather which then you can cook inside on the hob.But this never had to be done as we were always in fantastic weather.On top of the roof we have fitted a three person roof tent for friends and family. Although never been used to date. We do not take any responsibility if anyone sleeps in the roof tent. If anyone fulls and injures themselves. It is advised not to sleep upstairs if you have had a few to many drinks!! Storage box upstairs which makes in to a bench to sit on and a small table over the skylight on the om January 2024 to 31st May 2024 we have travelled to Spain and Portugal and then over to Morocco for three months with our two Labs. Monty has got us up mountain tracks and virtually 80% of our travels was all about wild camping. Only having to find water and a place to empty toilet cassette.We have had the best experience of our lives and hope everyone enjoys Monty as much as we have had. Description of Beds:Monty has a comfy double bed to the rear of the van, which you access via a hand crafted ladder. Description of Seating: Three belted seats in the front (including driver) with head rests. 1 out of 3 are suitable for a child car seat using the 3-point belt. There is a hand crafted table in the dining area that pulls down for you and your loved ones to drink and eat with seats either side. About the area: Monty is based in Chichester Parking: If you ferry across by car this can be left in Monty’s space, alternatively if you ferry over by foot we can meet you at the boat. Cooking Equipment: Monty has a large ridge and a small freezer area to keep all your food fresh and your drinks cold | Two-ring gas hob | sink with hot and cold water | kettle | cups, pots | pans | plates | bowls and cutlery. If you prefer to cook outside then Monty has an external two-ring gas cooker with grill for toast. This has a connection to fit at the rear of van with a long flexible gas pipe. This can stand on table provided. Water Facilities: There is a 150 litre water tank so once full, there will be no messing around to fill up again. This is connected to a gas boiler for hot or cold water. Large Internal shower. Fixed toilet with cassette operational from outside for ease to clean. There is also an outside shower that can be connected to rinse things off. Electrics: Monty runs on two large leisure batteries which charge as you drive. So every 3-4 days he would need a stretch to charge them, however, if you park where electric can be plugged in (via the bonnet) then you wouldn’t need to worry. There are a few USB sockets to charge phones, tablets etc. There is also a 240v socket which can be used once hooked up! There are LED touch lights that you can either set to blue or natural, which can also be dimmed or brightened depending on the mood. There is also a table light and lights located in the storage area under bed. Storage: There is a lot of room in the back of the van under the bed which can be accessed via the back doors for all your belongings clothes etc. There is additional storage under the seats in the dining area. Sun deck: If you fancy trying out the sun deck please do but please be careful, only take a couple of chairs up. Enjoy sunrise or sunset with a nice drink! Available extras: 2 blow up paddle boards | fire pit, which can be used as a BBQ | 3m x 3m pop up gazebo with 4 zip up walls. All can be hired if needed. *Please note, Monty requires a Category C1 or equivalent driving licence, allowing the driver to drive vehicles Over 3.5T.*
