About the Campervan
Description of Beds: Luna has one extra large king size bed (1.8x1.6m), giving plenty of space for two (and any four legged friends joining your adventure)
Description of Seating: There are three belted seats in the front (including the driver) with headrests. There is space for 5 or 6 around the dining table, perfect for a cup of tea with friends.
Description of Electrical Setup: Luna is perfectly set up for an off grid adventure, with 200Ah of lithium batteries charging while you drive, and off the solar panel, there’s no need for electric hook up (although the option is there if you want it). There are USB charging points and a 2KW inverter, so plenty of mains power for laptops, hair dryers etc.
About the area: Luna lives in Sheffield, parked on a quiet residential street, perfectly located for weekend escapes to the peak district.
Parking: If you drive to collect Luna, you are welcome to leave your car in her normal spot on our drive. If you come by train, Luna’s owners will be able to pick you up from Meadowhall or Sheffield station, please use the appropriate add-on, if you require this option.
Cooking Equipment: Luna has a beautiful compact kitchen at the rear, perfect for outdoor cooking with the back doors pushed wide open to enjoy the view, or indoor cooking when the British weather leaves you watching the rain through the windows! She has a 40l fridge, sink with running water and an induction hob, so you’ll be all set to cook up a warming meal on your return to the camper. Included in the kitchen are: plates, bowls and cutlery for 4, 6 cups, frying pan, saucepan, tin opener, corkscrew, sharp knife, wooden spoon, serving spoon, serving bowl, and tray for breakfast in bed.
Water and Sanitation: There is a 10 litre removable water tank in Luna that supplies water to the sink via a pump. There is also a 10l removable grey tank.
Audio Equipment: Luna has a small bluetooth speaker available.
Type of Heating: Luna has a 2KW diesel heater, and warms up in no time, even on a snowy day!
Extra Information: Luna was built to be the perfect companion for every off grid adventure. The living space is light and airy, with 4 windows for panoramic views, and plenty of space at the table for a gourmet dinner, (or if needed, to act as a desk with a view). Her electrical set up will give you power anywhere, and there’s plenty of storage under the seats for anything you need to bring with you. Please just let us know if you’re planning on going off grid for a little longer and require an additional water tank. Her compact nature makes driving her much less of a daunting prospect if you aren’t used to vans, with her rear view camera and small size you’ll have no trouble fitting into a parking space, or making your way down narrow country lanes.
Conversion Story: Luna was converted at Surprise View Campers last spring, and is the 3rd campervan we’ve owned, so we knew exactly what did and didn’t work in a compact camper. We’ve enjoyed lots of trips away with her over the last few months, and have now decided to rent her out, as we’re working on a bigger van for ourselves for longer adventures.
