Inside the main living space there is one double plug socket including two USB ports. Max 4.1W 5V per plug. Yonder has one lithium battery, an Inverter, and an exterior hook up for when you're not travelling off grid. All interior lights work off the solar panel without fail, rain or shine.

About the area: Yonder lives in NE Bristol and is parked in a gated driveway

Parking: There is safe parking for your car in the gated driveway where Yonder is normally parked for the duration of your hire. When collecting Yonder, you can pull into the drive if there is space, or park on a nearby road while we talk you through Yonder. If you come by train, Bristol Parkway isn't far and you can taxi to our address.

Cooking Equipment: Yonder has everything you could need to cook up a feast, including; a working gas hob that runs of an LPG tank under the van (always full and ready for your adventure from the start of your trip), she has saucepans, frying pans, oven trays, cutlery for four people to eat, hob kettle, cafetière, 4 mugs, 2 stainless steel cups, 4 bowls & 4 plates.

In addition to the two gas hobs inside, there is a contained fire pit with a cast iron griddle pan for cooking on top. There's also a chopping board and utensils, 3 sharp knifes, a tin opener, corkscrew/bottle opener. Yonder also has a colander, washing up bowl, tuppawares and a dustpan and brush.

Water and Sanitation: Yonder has an outdoor shower, where the water is heated by the sun or by boiled water mixed with a little cold. The toilet is a portable compost loo with saw dust included, along with a toilet tent for privacy, this can be set up inside or outside in any location. There is a 20 litre removable water tank in Yonder that supplies water to the sink via a pump, this is healthy drinking water also. The tanks are situated underneath the sink.

Audio Equipment: Bring your own bluetooth speaker to fill the van or outdoors with music. There is a CD player and radio for when you're driving.

Type of Heating: There's a propane gas heater along with a wood burner. You can choose one or the other but we recommend the wood burner wherever possible, making sure the side door or skylight is open for ventilation.

Extra Information: Lined with marine ply with beautiful walnut cupboards in the kitchen, the wood speaks for itself and warms up the whole space. The moroccan rug in the main living space was hand picked by me in a market in Thagazout. I hope you enjoy the cosy wool when relaxing next to the wood burning stove.

Conversion Story: Yonder began life as a white empty work van for a large scale glass windows and doors company up north. I bought her after a long and careful hunt on Ebay for this specific year and model, I boldly got a one-way train ticket up to test drive her which somehow ended up being a first class ticket! When I drove off into the sunset I burst into tears with joy unaware of how much I needed a van like this. Originally from Leeds, Yonder travelled down to Somerset and Cornwall for her conversion which was a gradual process over the course of 3 years, with the pandemic in between! The cladding was done by a master craftsman who was recovering from brain cancer at the time (he's still doing great) and the solar panels, electrics, heater and burner were all done by an expert called solar panel Simo! The beautiful cupboards and fridge draws were done by Shane at Faulkner Works with Sophie on hand to run to Screwfix and B&Q, put the kettle on multiple times and sand and paint pretty much everything.
