About the Campervan

Description of Beds: Edina has a large fixed double bed with a proper and super comfortable mattress which sleeps two people very comfortably. Measuring 185cm x 135, anyone over 6ft2 may find it to be a bit of a squeeze. You can also make up a narrow full length bed suitable for a child between the two kitchen seats. Description of Seating: Edina can take three people in belted seats when driving. Edina has two good size seats in the living area with a pull-out wooden table. This is next to a beautiful L-shaped kitchen. Description of Electrical Setup: Edina is ready for all your off-grid adventures. She charges the battery bank while you drive also from a solar panel on the roof and can be hooked up to a powered site too. There are two dual USB chargers and an inverter to run things if you're off-grid. Edina also comes with a smart projector fro movie nights in. About the area: Edina lives in Central Edinburgh a short taxi ride from Waverly or Haymarket train stations. If your flying into Edinburgh the tram from the airport is super quick and comfortable. Parking: If you drive to collect Edina there is free on-street parking in a quiet safe location very close to where the owner lives. The owner is happy to meet you there and show you where to park. Cooking Equipment: Edina has everything you need for all your cooking needs. Pots and pans, knives, chopping board, spices oil, cafetiere etc. The burner gas hob is great for cooking and the fridge will keep your food fresh. Water and Sanitation: Edina has a pop-up tent and a camping shower which uses water heated from the stove. Edina has a good size chemical toilet in one of the front seats it is easy to remove and change. She also has lots of fresh drinking water stored in tanks underneath one of the kitchen seats. ‘ Audio Equipment: Edina has a digital radio in the cab. Type of Heating: You will be kept super warm by Edina's powerful diesel heater. Conversion Story: After buying an almost complete conversion a couple of years ago (Isla is also available to hire through Quirky Campers) I decided I would like to convert a camper from start to finish. Edina is the result! As Isla had been so well-loved by Quirky Campers, I decided to keep the layout and a lot of the design the same. Edina has a clean Scandinavian feel and has everything you need to make the best of a road trip in beautiful Scotland.

We had the best week in Edina, touring around Dumfries and Galloway. Everything about the process from booking, to communicating with Josh (the owner), to picking the van up and dropping it off was seamless. Edina was the perfect companion on our trip! We were surprised at how comfy the bed is and how easy it was to be in a relatively small space for a whole week. She is cosy and comfy and super easy to live in. We cooked in the van every night (two rings is perfect!) and we wild camped for most of the week, only staying at a campsite for 2 nights. All in all, it was a fabulous week and we are excited about booking our next campervan adventure.
