The only thing this former delivery van is delivering these days is epic adventures. Quirky Campers presents Peggy, a wonderful two-berth campervan ready and raring to join you on the road. Located in Norwich, The Broads National Park is just a stone's throw away, a place steeped in history and culture, where you can cycle along rivers and spy some of the UK’s rarest wildlife.

Designed to maximise space and comfort, Peggy is the perfect choice for couples seeking a relaxing break or mates uniting to make memories. Embodying the very essence of van life, Peggy has a variety of unique storage solutions including bungee-fronted cabinets and a hybrid rotating shower and wardrobe design. Her foldaway bed is on hand to provide you with a comfortable night's sleep and in the day can be conveniently tucked away so you have more room to go about your daily activities.

If off-grid locations are calling, you’ll be pleased to know that you can answer! Peggy has been kitted out with everything you’d need to thrive in the wilderness including an indoor bathroom, fully-equipped kitchen, heater, solar power and a recently added leisure battery inverter, meaning that she’ll never run out of solar power when free camping. Now that’s what you call Peggylicious!

About the Campervan

Description of Beds: Most camper vans have a permanently fixed bed. Peggy is unique. She can sleep 2 adults comfortably on her Murphy (fold away) bed. The comfortable and supportive pocket-sprung mattress is 135cm wide and 190cm long. There’s enough space underneath the bed to sleep a child or two young, small children in sleeping bags on foam matts or a blow up mattress. Description of Seating: Peggy has 3 belted seats in the cab and a stylish and supportive sofa in the rear which can also be used for extra storage space. Description of Electrical Setup: She has both 240v and 12v power supply. Meaning she has mains hook up for when you’re at a campsite and/or solar power for when you’re free camping. She has one main socket outlet (fine for an extension lead to be plugged in), one solar socket outlet and then 6 additional USB outlets that all run off of solar power. Great for charging your phones, laptops, iPads etc. (350 watts of Victron solar panels) The mains can be used for items such as hair dryers, straighteners etc but do not use the solar socket for these items. The sockets are labelled for your benefit. Peggy has a 45L fridge with a small freezer compartment which runs completely off of Solar power, so you can have an ice-cold beer that’s been cooled by the sun's energy (pretty cool if you ask us). The beautiful LED strip lighting we’ve used also runs completely off of the solar. About the area: Peggy’s home is in rural North Norfolk. There are countless attractions within the nearby area. The Norfolk Broads, Pensthorpe Nature park, the stunning Norfolk coastline, to name a few. Parking: If you drive to collect Peggy, you are welcome to leave your car in her normal spot. We will provide you with the necessary parking vouchers. If you come by train, Peggy’s owner may be able to pick you up from Norwich station for a reasonable fee. Cooking Equipment: She is fitted with two gas hobs inside, that run off of the under-mounted LPG tank, Peggy has everything you could need to cook up a feast, including 2 traditional tin camping mugs, 4 melamine wine glasses, 4 bowls, 4 large bamboo dining plates, cutlery for 4, a chopping board, metal kettle, large and small frying pan, large and small saucepan and a steamer. There are four bamboo cooking spoons, 1 sharp knife, a tin opener, corkscrew/bottle opener. Peggy also has a stove-top toasting rack that you can use over the gas hob as well as a colander, washing up bowl, small dustpan and brush, utensils for washing up and a bin. She also has a fold-down dining table. Water and Sanitation: Peggy’s superiority shines through with her incredibly well-engineered hybrid rotating shower and wardrobe design. You won’t believe it til you see it. She doesn’t require a pop-up or outside shower, you can enjoy a luxurious hot shower no matter where you are. Her 10L water heater can be heated using either the mains hook-up supply OR using LPG for when you’re off-grid. The shower tray is the same size as you’d get in most houses or hotels. It has a wonderful skylight in the bathroom and even a portable Thetford toilet. Another benefit is that Peggy has an inbuilt fixed pump and water heating system so all you need to do is fill up the 50L water tank using the external fill-up point; turn the hot water on, wait a short while, and you’re good to go. She has a 40L waste tank so just remember to empty that after you’ve washed, this will help keep the weight off of her and increase your fuel economy. Audio Equipment: She has a radio in the cab as well as Bluetooth and an Aux cable point for when you want to blast out some tunes on your travels. Type of Heating: You will never get cold when Peggy’s around. We have a built-in Diesel heater that warms her up in minutes and stays warm for hours as we’ve used 100mm of insulation. Simply fill up the 7L diesel tank and this will last you in excess of 2 weeks. Extra Information: The Western red cedar wood we’ve used for the wall and ceiling cladding not only looks beautiful but smells amazing. The spaciousness is a key point we really want to highlight. The hybrid wardrobe and bathroom design as well as the Murphy bed, the under the sofa, under the sink and under hob storage space, as well as the overhead bungee rope storage shelves, allows so much space to manoeuvre, it’s not a cluttered area where you have to tread carefully and worry about banging elbows and knees. Includes first aid kit, fire extinguisher, candle lighters, appropriate signs, smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, gas safe registered. Conversion Story: Peggy began life as just another regular van on the road used to make deliveries. Thankfully she found us and has now realised her full potential. With only 47k miles on the clock, we knew she was perfect to be transformed from the boring commercial van life into an actual home on wheels. We really believe that she is a unique creation and haven’t seen any other camper vans on the market with the same spacious and clever design elements we have given her.
