Description of Beds: Double bed size with super comfortable mattress. Bedside reading lamps and USB charging points. Bed for two people dimensions 130cm wide and 180 cm long‘ Description of Seating: Leather seating with a swivel seat on both seats. Designed for 2 passengers but can fit 4 people sociably in the main living space. Outside chairs and table provided as well. The front seats have 3-point belts and headrests. Description of Electrical Setup: Rafiki has got a very efficient 400-watt solar panel and a large leisure battery so perfect for off-grid living. The solar panel has kept the compressor fridge and lights running for weeks not connected to the electrical hookup. The van also comes with a Batpower laptop charger which enables you to charge laptops using the van 12v battery system which charges my Apple notebook. Various cables are provided but may not be compatible with your laptop. About the area: Rafiki is stored 10 minutes away from the M5 motorway in Somerset. Somerset is itself a beautiful county with the Exmoor National Park an hour away. We are at the gateway to the beautiful Devon and Cornwall coastlines can be discovered everywhere. If you want to visit some interesting towns, Glastonbury, Bath and Bristol are easily accessible as well Taunton. Parking: Rafiki is stored at Taunton Caravan Services specifically chosen for its close proximity to the M5 motorway. You will be met at this location where you can park your car behind locked gates and 24-hour security. I will meet you upon your return when you come and collect your vehicle. If you come by train, Rafiki's owners will be able to pick you up from Taunton station. Cooking Equipment: Inside there is a 2 burner gas hob as well as Rafiki comes with a portable single burner for cooking outside. He comes complete with pots pans and cooking utensils including a toasting rack. There is also a microwave for those instances when you have an electrical hookup and want to make something quick and easy. Rafiki has everything you could need to cook up a feast, including stoneware plates, bowls, glass wine glasses and drinking glasses. He has concrete-finished worktops with 2 chopping boards, 3 sharp knives , a kettle, a large and small frying pans and 2 pots. He has a tin opener and corkscrew bottle opener, grater and colander. Rafiki has all the cleaning utensils including a dustpan and broom. Water and Sanitation: Rafiki comes with a full bathroom with hot and cold running water as well as a fitted Thetford toilet which is totally private from the rest of the van. Heating is provided by a Truma diesel heater that warms up the water. The bathroom is heated with coat hooks for drying off wet suits etc. There is also an external cold shower to wash off seawater or give your dog a quick rinse. Water all comes from an internal 100-litre water tank filled via an external filling point and float switch. It is in its own enclosure, in the main living space or in a tent outside. The water tanks are sterilized frequently so perfectly good enough to use for drinking water. Audio Equipment: Rafiki has a radio which can be connected to your phone via Bluetooth for hands-free driving as well as living to your own music. USB plug-in is provided to charge your phones Type of Heating: There is a Truma diesel heater which is so efficient you will have to turn it on the lowest setting. Rafiki is very well insulated to the point where we rarely use the heater to heat up the living area. Conversion Story: Rafiki was purchased as a low mileage van destined for greater things. He has been lovingly created by his owner Michael who is creative at heart. A photographer and fine furniture maker, attention to detail are impeccable but with the creative mind of the photographer is always present.
