Description of Beds: Kimbo can sleep 2 adults and 1 small child. Adults sleep on a fixed double bed that pulls out to just under Queen Size (6ft6"/198cm by 5ft/152cm) A small child can sleep on a fixed comfortable bench seat (4ft/120cm by 1ft10"/55cm) Description of Seating: Carries three passengers with belted seats in the front (including driver) with headrests. When camped Kimbo has a fixed double bench seat with comfortable cushion. The front double passenger seat rotates into further two seats in the lounge area. Description of Electrical Setup: There are USB charging points, two on each side of bed with reading lights at the rear of the van, two in the lounge area of the van, one side of the fixed bench seat and three in the cab area. In addition, there are 12V Sockets with USB fast charge, a 360W solar panel supplying two 110amp leisure batteries with Victron MPPT charge controller, a split charger that charges the leisure batteries whilst engine is running, a 230V Hookup with 14 metres extension lead for campsites, 3000W Inverter which supplies 230V sockets and microwave. About the area: Kimbo lives on the driveway end of a cul-de-sac in the historic town of Stony Strafford on the edge of Milton Keynes. Parking: Hirer can park their car on shingle driveway whilst hiring out Kimbo. CCTV in operation. We can also arrange owner to pick up hirer from the local train station if needed. The nearest train stations are Wolverton or Central Milton Keynes. Cooking Equipment: In the kitchen you’ll find everything you need to make a delicious feast including pots and pans, cups and glasses, cutlery, plates and bowls, a chopping board, washing up bowl and dustpan & brush. There’s also a magnet bottle opener above the sink. The appliances include a two-ring gas hob, microwave, kettle, electric toaster and 85 litre Dometic fridge with freezer compartment. Water and Sanitation: There’s a 100L fresh water tank that feeds the Truma Ultra water heater and Bullfinch outdoor shower with shower curtain across read van doors. Full-size sinks with tap fed via water pump with pull-out spray attachment. Audio Equipment: The cab has an Android head unit with WiFi tethered from mobile phone or hotspot. USB plug-and-play and Bluetooth are both available so you can play your own music. Type of Heating: Heating is 2KW diesel heater with wall mounted control. Extra Information: Garage area at the rear of the van under the double bed. This area fits the fixed gas cupboard and water tank. Also enough room to store two mountain bikes (with front wheels removed) Conversion Story: Kimbo was a highway maintenance vehicle which was originally bought by the owner Dave to use to transport Motocross bikes. After getting into many hours of videos of Van builds on Youtube, decided to try converting one himself. Thank god for Greg Virgoe, legend! Kimbo was completely converted by hand recycling a lot of the previous materials in the van.
