Description of Beds: Blacklight sleeps 2 people on a double-bed with a memory foam mattress, there is also a fairly long sofa which might accommodate a younger person for sleeping. Description of Seating: Blacklight has a reclining driver seat plus a twin passenger seat that does not recline. There are three belted seats in total, which all come with headrests recently re-finished in veggie friendly e-leather which is much more comfy than regular leather. Alongside the front belted seats, there is a sofa in the back that suits 2-3 people, and a slightly smaller seat which could suit 1-2 people. There is a neat stowaway dining table plus a neat pull out picnic table that slides out from the side load door for alfresco dining. Description of Electrical Setup: Blacklight is well equipped for off-grid living; there are USB sockets in the driving area, and a brand new inverter with two 240v sockets, plus 2 double USB sockets, 2 12V cigarette sockets, and USB-C sockets. Blacklight can be used off-grid as the engine charges the 220ah Xplorer leisure battery while driving, alongside the two roof-mounted 300W mono crystalline solar panels which can be controlled using the Victron Energy SmartSolar charge controller. There is also a Victron Energy DC/DC Charger, Victron Energy SmartShunt 500A/50mV, Victron Energy Blue Smart Charger, Victron Lynx 12v Distribution System, CBE fresh and waste water level reader, isolator switch, and a Fawo 230v external mains inlet hook-up to plug in on a campsite. There are also 6 LED dimmable lights in the living area and 1 in the garage area. About the area: Blacklight is located in Bethnal Green (E2) close to Bethnal Green, Shoreditch High St and Liverpool St stations. Parking: Parking in central / East London is not easy, but there may be space to leave one car but its subject to availability. Cooking Equipment: Blacklight comes with a fully equipped kitchen including a 70L Vitrifrigo fridge, Thetford Topline 981 hob (gas and induction), and a Smeg under counter sink and pull-out spray mixer tap. Also provided is a full set of cutlery, cups and glasses, plates, bowls, frying pan, cast iron enamelled saucepan, Le Creuset hob kettle, chopping board, cleaning liquids, washing-up bowl, dustpan and brush - you name it, Blacklight has it. Water and Sanitation: Blacklight has an outdoor warm shower, and an indoor stow-away Thetford portable toilet. A Truma combi boiler provides heated water from a large under vehicle water tank. There is also a Fawo external water fill up point, 100L fresh water tank, 70L waste water tank, a 12v Shurflo 30 psi water pump, a Fiamma expansion tank, a Shurflo inline water filter, and water isolating valves. Audio Equipment: Blacklight has a stereo system with bluetooth and USB in the driving area, and a portable radio can be supplied on request. Type of Heating: Blacklight has a Truma 4E Combi boiler unit gas powered heater to keep you warm in any weather. Extra Information: Blacklight is a Mercedes Sprinter 316 CDi, which has proven itself time and time again, you'll be sure of a smooth ride with front and rear parking sensors, A/C, cruise control, bluetooth, USB, sound-proofing and thermal insulation, a special water vapour layer to remove moisture from the air, and marine plywood lining and floor base for a practical and cosy feel. Conversion Story: Blacklight started life as a tour van as part of my rental business, transporting VIP artists such as Billie Eilish, Sinead O'Connor, Jarvis Cocker, Wet Leg and many more. In 2023 we were inspired by the Manchester based Scandivan’s beautiful aesthetics and chose them to convert Blacklight for her new life as a getaway campervan for me and my family.
