Description of Beds: Dennis sleeps up to four people. There is a fixed double bed at the rear (185 x 120cm) with a super comfortable memory foam mattress. The table in the seating area slides away and the backrest cushions with a mattress topper create a second small double bed (180 x 110cm) Description of Seating: There are three belted seats in the front (including driver) with headrests. Description of Electrical Setup: Dennis is capable of extended stays off-grid with a massive 460Ah LiFePO4 (exceptionally safe Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery which can be monitored via an app and charged both when the vehicle is in motion and by a 360w solar panel. There is also a 240v hook-up point when shore power is available and a 2000w inverter to supply a standard 240v socket when off-grid. Additionally there are four USB charging points in the rear. About the area: Dennis lives near Horsham and is well positioned for transport links and access to the Surrey Hills or the South Downs National Park and the south coast. Parking: If you drive to collect Dennis you are welcome to leave your car in his normal spot on a private driveway with electric gates. If you come by train, we will be happy to pick you up from Horsham station. Cooking Equipment: There is a Thetford three ring gas burner/oven/grill and Dometic fridge/freezer in the kitchen which is stocked with all that you could need - pots, pan, cutlery, plates, bowls glasses and wine glasses for four as well as a chopping board, sharp knife, corkscrew/bottle opener, kettle, Aeropress coffee maker and dustpan and brush. There is a pop-up extension to the kitchen top to increase preparation space when the door is open. Water and Sanitation: There is a 57l water tank with external fill point and Truma gas combi boiler that provides hot water to the kitchen tap and to an external shower point. A pop-up shower/toilet tent is provided. The portable toilet is stowed under a bench seat and could be used in situ although preferably outside. Audio Equipment: There is a Bluetooth speaker in the rear and USB charge/input to the radio in the cab. Type of Heating: Heating is provided by a Truma electric/gas combi boiler. Extra Information: Dennis also has a roof mounted 12v air conditioner to provide a comfortable temperature and humidity for a great night’s sleep. For more extreme climes there is also genuine 4 season insulation and heater pads for the water tank. Conversion Story: Dennis started life as a humble council panel van and gained a new life with an expert conversion by Bhode Vans, formerly Little Life Campers, in the Peak District. We wanted the van to be suitable for cold as well as warm weather and chose Bhode Vans for their solution to the problem of comfortably accommodating a family of four without using a pop-top roof.
