About the area: Syd is based in the beautiful Sussex countryside where rolling hills meet beautiful beaches. Description of Beds: Syd has one static full bed large enough for two adults. There is also the option to turn the seating into a second double bed that is not so wide, but still roomy enough for another little one or a teenager! Syd's bedding is snug and warm with cotton sheets, a duvet, 4 luxury pillows and extra blankets if needed. There is also a hot water bottle for those colder nights when you want to be extra warm and cosy. Description of Seating: Syd has three belted seats in the front cabin (including the driver’s seat) with comfortable headrests, but if you are travelling with friends and family she can comfortably fit 4 adults around the seating area and two children if they are happy to lounge on the static bed! Description of Electrical Setup: Syd is powered by two leisure batteries and solar panels, and has four plug sockets and multiple USB charging points for electronic devices. She has an inverter, 10 ft cable for when an electric hook-up is available, and spare AA batteries for the all-important fairy lights. Parking: If you are driving to pick up Syd you will be supplied with directions as Syd lives within a conservation area on the edge of a public common - please take great care when driving up as there are often cattle and horses on the road. Hirers can leave their car in Syd’s place when taking Syd on holiday, there is a secure garage that can easily accommodate a large family vehicle. If you are arriving by train (the nearest train station is Haywards Heath or Gatwick Airport is 15 miles away) pickup can be arranged for a small fee subject to prior arrangement. Cooking Equipment: Syd is well stocked and has everything you need to rustle up a hearty feast on the two ring gas hob or the portable BBQ. She has an extra long gas safety lighter, 1 saucepan, 1 frying pan, two serving bowls, four plates, 4 breakfast/dessert bowls, 1 large serving platter, a kettle, 4 insulated glass mugs, 4 glasses, 4 wine glasses, a cafetière and a stove-top espresso coffee maker. There is a two slice toaster with a warming rack, a chopping board, 2 sharp knives, dining cutlery for 4, a small grater, and various cooking spoons/utensils. There will also be washing up liquid, hand soap, clothes detergent and multi purpose cleaner, together with 1 sponge, 1 cloth, 1 washing up bowl and 1 tea towel. Water and Sanitation: Syd has a cassette style porta-loo which is supplied with all toilet fluids and toilet paper! There are two x 20 litre tanks under the sink, one for fresh water and one for grey water. Water can be heated using the kettle. Audio Equipment: Syd has a 7" touch screen head unit and two speakers in the rear of the van. USB plug-in and Bluetooth are both available so you can play your own music. She also has a mini projector and 50" portable screen - ideal for movie nights! Type of Heating: You can heat Syd quickly using the diesel heater situated in the Garage. Controls for the heater are situated in the living area. Extra Information: Syd began life as a local authority lease vehicle and has always been regularly serviced. Bespoke curtains made from designer material hang at the windows and separate the cabin from the living area. There is also a cupboard full of fun games for adults and children. Conversion Story: Syd was converted by a local enthusiast in 2023 who gave her a lovely facelift using high gloss units, a modern copper tap and beautiful pine cladding.
