About the Campervan

About the area: Sunny Rita lives in the Southside of Glasgow, just a few bus stops or one train stop away from the City Centre. There are so many places to enjoy near and far in Scotland. Wherever you go, Rita will provide you comfort and homeliness, as well as being compact and easy to drive on those bendy country roads. Description of Beds: Sunny Rita comfortably sleeps up to three people; two downstairs and one in the pop-top, which can also be used without the bed pulled down, for extra headspace and room during the day. The downstairs bed measures 190 x 120cm, and the pop-top offers 115 x 175 cm of space. Description of Seating: Sunny Rita has three belted seats (two with headrests) in the front (including driver). Description of Electrical Setup: Sunny Rita does not yet have a hookup to shore power. However, she has a full 12V fuse set-up, a 110ah leisure battery, 12V lights throughout, 2x USB and 2x USB-C charge points. Parking: When collecting Sunny Rita there is free on street parking for your own car, which can remain there for the duration of your rental. Cooking Equipment: Preparing meals on your trip is easy with the outdoor twin burner Cadac 2 stove**. Sunny Rita has a plug-in coolbox to keep your groceries fresh on the move. Provided are a pot and a pan, espresso maker, mugs, as well as bowls, plates and cutlery. Additionally there are some cooking essentials such as salt and pepper, oil, tea bags and coffee. To make clean-ups easy there's a sponge, washing up liquid, dust pan and brush, wipes and kitchen towels. **Cadac stove to be used outside and not suitable for indoor use Water and Sanitation: There is a 15-litre removable water tank that supplies water to the sink via a pump. There is no toilet, however we provide some doggy bags, toilet paper, a spade and some guidance for responsible wild toileting. Audio Equipment: Sunny Rita has a radio and CD player at the front. Additionally there are some portable speakers provided that can be connected via bluetooth to play your own music. Type of Heating: Sunny Rita will keep you nice and toasty with a diesel heater. Pet Information: Pets are welcome, however please be mindful of muddy paws and upholstery. We recommend your dog not to be larger than medium size, to make sure everyone gets comfortable rest at night. Please also make sure not to leave your pets unattended in the van. Extra Information: Sunny Rita was professionally converted in 2023 by the Ply Guys in Scotland. She's the labour of a lot of love and time and I feel privileged to be able to explore my surroundings with her. What makes me even happier is sharing that joy with other people and hearing about their adventures. Even on the days that Scotland won't bring you any sunshine, I trust that Rita will bring you some light and joy on your travels instead.

It was our first time staying in a campervan and we had a great experience with Sunny Rita for 3 nights. The van is easy to drive and a very comfortable nights sleep, and Sophia was really helpful in explaining how the van works and making sure we had everything we need. Will definitely be recommending Sunny Rita to our friends who want to explore Scotland!
