About the area: Marion is located in the historic town of Newton-Le-Willows and is kept on a residential driveway just a 5 minute walk from the well connected Newton-Le-Willows train station. From the pickup spot you can take the M6 heading north or south towards the stunning Lake District or the beautiful county of Cheshire, the mountains of Wales can be reached in just over an hour and there are a plethora of stunning National parks within reasonable driving distance including The Peak District, The Forest of Bowland, The Yorkshire Dales, The Pennines or Scotland, you could even head over to Holyhead via the gorgeous Welsh mountainscapes to catch the ferry to Ireland. Description of Beds: Marion can sleep up to 4 people with 2 people on the pull out bed and 2 people in the pop-top roof. The pop-top dimensions are 1.86 x 1.09m and the bed dimensions are 1.90 x 1.15m. The maximum user weight for the bed installed in the pop top roof is 28 stone (177.8 kg). Description of Seating: Marion can carry up to 5 passengers in belted seats including the driver. The double passenger seat in the cab swivels around to extend your living space while camping, making space for 4 people in the living space. Description of Electrical Setup: Marion has a leisure battery charged by a split charge relay when driving, and an electric hook-up for campsites. The power management system includes 12v and 240v sockets and battery level indicators, there is an auxiliary 12v light switch on the control panel. In terms of charging ports, there are 2 USB-C ports in the front of the cab plus a 12v plug, and in the rear there are 3 USB ports, the wireless charger and two 3 pin plug sockets. Parking: When you collect Marion you are welcome to park your car on our drive in Marion’s usual space, we are also a 5 minute walk from Newton-le-Willows train station and can meet you there and walk to our house. Cooking Equipment: Marion has a hob with 2 gas rings, she also has a 50l fridge and a sink with an electric pump. Within the storage area there is a full range of cooking equipment, cutlery, pots and pans, chopping board, kettle etc. She also comes with a collapsible washing up bowl as well as washing up liquid and a sponge plus tea towels. Water and Sanitation: Marion is equipped with a 20L water tank and has a tap with the water coming from a pump, the grey water pipe flows straight from the sink drain to the outside of the van. Audio Equipment: Marion’s cab has a radio and speaker system equipped with bluetooth that you connect to your phone. Type of Heating: Marion has a diesel heater to keep you toasty on those cold nights. Pet Information: Marion has 2 dogs in her family so all pet friends are welcome, pet seat protectors are provided, we ask that these are used to protect the leather upholstery. Conversion Story: After travelling from the UK to Thailand in our last van, we came back to the UK and back to normal life. We weren’t quite ready to give up the vanlife and wanted something practical to bridge the gap between our previous beautiful hand crafted van and something we could now use on the weekends and holidays, though we didn’t have the time to convert or maintain another hand crafted van. When Marion popped up with her colourful upholstery and we knew we’d found something with character we could make into our next adventure-mobile. About the Owner: Pumpkin and Evie live in the North West of England and their dedicated humans Hannah and Jordan take care of Marion to make sure they can go on all fun weekend adventures. We’re an outdoor loving family and our favourite thing to do is sit in our camping chairs looking out over a beautiful view while the coffee brews on the hob first thing in the morning. We can’t imagine life without our little van.
