About the area: Leaf is parked in a quiet residential area and has her own off road parking space, this can be used by renters to park their car while using Leaf. We are situated in the beautiful Wye Valley right on the edge of the Forest of Dean. The countryside here is breathtaking and a stone's throw from the Brecon Beacons National park (Abergavenny is approx 25 minute drive). Explore the amazing woodlands and picnic sites such as Whitestone above Llandogo, visit Tintern with its outstanding Abbey, providing overnight camping for vans and step back in time at the Old Station. Climb the Sugarloaf and listen to the Skylarks as the Red Kites and Swifts soar overhead, park up by the River Wye in Redbrook and enjoy a cold beer watching canoeists navigate the breathtaking waterways. You'll never run out of things to do here! Description of Beds: Leaf has space for 4 to sleep comfortably. The dining area folds down into a super king sized bed measuring 195 x 176 cm, suitable for 2 adults and 1 to 2 children. A child bunk folds down from the wall above the super king bed measuring 157 x 61 cm, not suitable for an adult. Description of Seating: Leaf has three belted seats in the front cab (including driver) with headrests and a fold down, rear facing belted seat. There is a window between the front cab and the living space to allow passengers to talk while travelling. The dining table fits 6 people comfortably plus the rear facing seat can be used as extra seating. Description of Electrical Setup: Leaf is fitted with a 100AH lithium battery which charges in 3 ways: via the solar panel on the roof, while you are driving, and when plugged into the electric hook-up point on the side of the van. There are 3 240V 3-pin plug-in points which work when hooked up. There are 3 USB charging points when you need to charge your phone or tablet. There are 3 wall lights and 4 ceiling lights which work independently of each other to create different lighting 'feels'! Parking: Leaf has an off-road parking space at the end of the garden. Hirers are welcome to park in this space when they leave their car. Situated in a very quiet residential area of Monmouth. Cooking Equipment: In addition to the two gas hobs inside, there is a small camping BBQ that you can use to cook outside. Leaf has everything you could need to cook up a feast, including 4 china mugs , 4 melamine cups and 4 bowls, 4 large bamboo dining plates, small plastic bowls, large mixing bowl, cutlery for 4, 4 plastic wine glasses, 2 wooden chopping board, a kettle, large and small frying pans, large and small saucepans, sieve, handheld food mixer, 1 sharp knife, scissors, a tin opener, corkscrew/bottle opener. There is also a stove-top coffee maker, enamel coffee pot, and small dustpan and brush. There are matches and a lighter to ignite the gas if off-grid not plugged into the hook-up. Water and Sanitation: There is a 20-litre removable water tank under the sink, that supplies water to the sink via a pump. This can be used for drinking and cooking. There is a 20 litre grey water tank situated behind the fresh water tank. Audio Equipment: USB plug-in and Bluetooth are both available so you can play your own music. Type of Heating: Leaf has a diesel heater to keep you toasty warm all year round. All the luxury of a 5 star hotel with the freedom to go wherever the wind takes you. Conversion Story: Leaf was our family's dream for a long time. We wanted the freedom to take off and discover beautiful, wild places where we could watch the sunset and stay overnight to see the sunrise. After searching for a van suitable for a family of 4, we made the decision to buy a builders van and create our own little home on wheels. Having no DIY skills, we came across the amazing team at WildNest campers and Ben and Katherine helped us create a van that works for us and the kids but also for solo adventures. Leaf ticks all the boxes and is a beautifully handcrafted and handmade delight.
