Chouette

Description of Beds: Chouette has a main double for two adults with a futon mattress and duvet that folds away to give additional space. As well as a single bed made up from the seating and dining table, ideal for use with a sleeping bag. Description of Seating : Chouette has three seats with seatbelts up front and bench seating for two in the living area. Description of Electrical Setup: Chouette is fully capable of going off-grid with solar panels powering 200ah batteries, a campsite hook-up, and a 2000w inverter with USB charge points. Parking: Brighton is not good for parking so Chouette is located in the outskirts of the city where free parking is possible. If hirers are coming by train it’s possible to meet at Preston Park or Hassocks Railway Station. Cooking Equipment: For cooking Chouette has a twin gas hob. Included in the van are pots and pans, cookware, and a hamper for plates, cups, cutlery that can be taken to the beach for a picnic. Also provided are coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper. An Air fryer can be provided as an add-on) Water and Sanitation: Chouette is fitted with a 10lt Calorifier water heater which uses the engine’s coolant system to provide hot and cold water to the sink and external shower point. A large water tank is located in the rear of the van with an external fill point. There is also a removable chemical toilet (as an add on extra). Type of Heating: Chouette has a diesel heater located behind the passenger seat with a small fuel tank under the bonnet. Pet Information: Chouette is pet friendly and pet welcoming! There is a pet bed and bowls available however, there is an extra cleaning charge. Extra Information: Chouette is a backgammon term meaning owl in French, and Chouette comes with a Backgammon board for evening games! Originally purchased as a handyman work van, all the work to convert has been completed single-handed. About the Owner: I am a handyman but spend far too much time playing and organising backgammon events. I built the van to travel around the country playing in tournaments and am very new to life on the road.
